1966 Austin Mini Magenta Sprint - RHD, Fun, Fast & Unique

­Built on a 1966 Austin Mini. this unique lightweight roadster is a rare “Mini Magenta”. one of only forty built by renowned UK coachbuilder. Lightspeed.

Its standard engine has been replaced with a 1275cc engine (largest factory-fitted displacement) and weighs just 850 lbs. so performance is noteworthy compared to most mini's. The front brakes have been upgraded to the later larger 8. 4” front discs with drilled rotors and braided lines.    The 1275cc engine has been recently rebuilt and is fitted with twin SU carbs and sport exhaust system for improved performance. Recently serviced and inspected by well-know Seattle Mini specialist. New components include clutch assy. starter and solenoid. Included is all documentation regarding recent mechanical work and overall condition.

Safety upgrades include roll bar. three-point retractable seat belts. kill switch and an fire extinguisher. The upholstery has been redone with the interior featuring a brushed aluminum dash as well as a clock and console. Paint and body are in good condition. Wheels have been upgraded to 12” authentic Minilite (8 spoke) alloys with newer Yokahama tires.

The Magneta is well sorted out and is turn-key. Two leather suitcases are included for longer trips.   This Mini was imported from England in 2005 and is a right hand driver.   It previously ran in the London to Brighton Rally in 2003 and 2004. placing 2nd in show in 2003. All documentation since its original build is included.

Car is provisioned for but does not have the convertible top. Located in Seattle and has clear Washington title and registration.
