Up for sale is my Wife's 1967 Mustang Fastback. She purchased this car about five years ago. essentially as is and it simply hasn't been driven much. Together. we have owned dozens of classic cars. trucks. motorcycles and other assorted toys and although she's been hesitant to sell this one. she feels that it doesn't necessarily suit her at this time and is in the market for something a little different.  She has expressed interest in a Porsche 911. Early Mercedes SL or something else of the early American or European variety. preferably convertible.  We would entertain trades/partial trades for the right vehicle. In any event. nbsp;I will do my best to represent the car as honestly and accurately as possible. Although I certainly by no means consider myself an expert on the marque. I have personally done a significant amount of restoration work many vehicles throughout the years and feel confident in conveying to potential bidders a fair and true assessment of the car's structural. mechanical and overall cosmetic condition. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions that you may have prior to bidding on the car. I also welcome and encourage potential bidders to view the car in person. As you can see in the pictures and if you're not a regional bidder. New York's roads are still snowy and salty. Test drives/rides are unfortunately not an option for a classic car. Obviously. the car was built as a Bullitt tribute car and I would guess the work was done approximately ten years ago on what was clearly a very respectable platform.  The car was an original Georgia car. as backed up by the Deluxe Marti Report.  We purchased the car locally and it still had remnants of red Georgia Clay/dust in the fender wells! The car is very straight and very solid. I see no evidence of any major body work having been performed. The floors. torque boxes and all of the under carriage of the car are clean and free of rust throughout. The finish body work and paint was done well and the car still presents nicely. Again. the work is estimated to have been done ten years ago or so. It's holding up very well. even for a car that has consistently been garaged since. but there are minor bumps. bruises. pimples and scratches to be found from normal use. Most noteworthy. there are is some minor corrosion at the bottom front of each door. as seems to be common on this era Mustang. There is also some minor "acne" below each of the rear vent panels as illustrated in the pictures. The fenders have definitely been off the car or have been replaced as evident by their slight misalignment. There are numbers stamped into them along the inside. which suggests to me that they're not the Chinese aftermarket variety. but again I'm not the resident Mustang expert. Please draw your own conclusions. Unlike the Bullitt car. My wife preferred the badging. so we added the grill bars and corral since the time of purchase. I also bought all the appropriate Mustang lettering and badging as correct for the '67. new from Mac's Ford Restoration. but never got to installing them. They are New In Box and included in the sale.

The lights and gauges. I believe all function with the exception of the ammeter. The car charges fine and the battery was replaced last summer. If I remember correctly. the fuel gauge is not terribly accurate and the speedometer reads incorrectly. The ring and pinion were changed from the original and dreadful 2. 79:1 before she bought the car. The correct drive gear from the speedometer was included new. nbsp;with the car when we got it. but it never got changed out.  I don't recall what the replacement ratio is. however the car is very comfortable at 65 MPH.

The car according to the Marti Report (also provided with the car) was built as a "C" Code. Built with a 289CI-2V and originally equipped with a three speed manual transmission. Currently. the Mustang sports a 5. 0 litre power plant and I believe the Top Loader. four speed transmission. The 302 has been mildly worked. sounds and runs absolutely great through headers and traditional glass pack exhaust. The engine likely produces somewhere in the neighborhood of just shy of 300HP. I would estimate. It's clear that the engine was built to be fun and street-worthy. I'm not certain what heads it has been built with. what duration cam or so on as I didn't build it. personally. It wears a Holly 4bbl on an Edelbrock Performer intake and it has been absolutely reliable and trouble free since day one. It has been driven by responsible adults and not abused. The car is manual steering/power brakes. The car goes down the road well and is tight. but is due for some very minor front end attention. The ride is quite reasonable. but my ears tell me it's time for a bushing here or there up front. The tires have worn nice and even. but haven't too much life left.  The Torque Thrust wheels show no corrosion what so ever. I'd have to imagine they've seen very little in the way of weather. There's a fifth with a matching spare in the trunk. as well. Outside of the mentioned upgrades. the critical parts of the car appear very original and unmolested. It likely wears a lot of original bright work. that could afford replacement. such as door handles. the mirror and the bumpers. but the stainless and pot metal presents pretty well overall. The window gaskets and seals were replaced and  still look good. The door seals were replaced. the lowers are great. but the uppers are showing their age at this point.

The interior is in nice. presentable shape. overall. While not crisp and show worthy. nbsp;all vinyl seats. doors. paneling. console are of nice. driver quality. condition. No rips or major defects to be noted. The carpet is faded in spots. but clean and intact. I've noticed in the pictures. a dark spot that appears to be wet passenger floor mat. There was a small box of odds and ends set there. previously on the snowy ground. It has never shown any evidence of the heater core leaking. The dash has an overlay and could use some detailing/black work as does the console. I believe the seatbelts are original as I believe they're date coded.

All in all. it's a very clean. presentable '67 Mustang Fastback. 4 speed dressed in Highland Green as the Bullitt car. While I would certainly not represent it as a show vehicle. it runs. looks. drives and sounds great.  I've made no attempt to overly detail the car prior to bringing from the garage for pictures. This is essentially how the car has been enjoyed for the last several summers. nbsp;but my wife has decided it's time to send it on to another owner. We have offered and sold cars on eBay a number of times. At the risk of sounding harsh. Please don't bid unless you plan on completing the purchase. If you have to check with someone first. please do so. If you don't have funds readily available. please don't bid. We require a NON REFUNDABLE PayPal deposit of $1000 with 48 hours from the winning bidder or we're moving on. I have been watching the cars of this level being offered and this one has a very reasonable reserve relative to what I've seen actually sell. This is a 46 year old car and I have no idea of the actual mileage. It comes with no warranty. It is being sold as is.
