 Hi. for sale is my early spec Golf GTI 1. 8 8v K-Jet. It has covered 117. 00 miles. Selling as I no longer have the cash or time to continue making it a minter.

It has a very good spec. and has undergone a fair amount of work in the past 6 months. The paint colour is Diamond Silver. and it is in great condition. It's has recently had a new exhaust fitted under the previous ownership. which is an OEM spec GTI mid section and back box. coupled with a stainless steel 4 branch race manifold. It has also had 2 Recaro front seats fitted out of a Ford RS Turbo. which are extremely comfortable. and not ripped at the bolsters.

I have done a fair amount of work to the engine. it has had the usual service including HT leads (8mm thick). spark plugs. rotor arm and dizzy cap. Has also had a brand new Lucas starter motor (if anyone knows these. they're not cheap copies). new throttle body from a later digifant engine. new idle control switch and a new idle control module.

The body is lowered on coilovers. at the moment it is sat very low - and is on BBS RA wheels with very good tyres all round.

The bad bits: Main thing is that the Tax and MOT ran out in December. and it is in need of a few small jobs to get it through the next one.
Windscreen is cracked so needs replacingExhaust is blowing from the mid pipe where it meets the manifold - but it is a very simple fixWheel bearings could do with being replacedHandbrake cable needs replacingHas developed a running issue. Car will start and drive. but when the revs drop below 2000rpm it cuts out. This is believed to be an earthing issue. 1 very very small rust patch under the windscreen as seen in the pics - easily sortedDrivers front wing has taken a knock. but easily replaced.
Interior is beginning to get tatty so will need a good clean. and a replacement headlining.

All in all a very tidy car for 29 years old. don't want to sell it really as I had plans for it. but to be honest. I have too many projects on the go. I require £100 deposit for whoever wants it and cash on collection in 7 days of purchase. Car is garaged out of the weather. but I may need this space back soon.
