For sale is my privately-owned 1957 RHD MGA Coupe 1500 in desirable Old English White with black leather interior and painted wire wheels. shod with period Dunlop SP99 radial tyres. She is fully restored and needs nothing done for you to enjoy her.

She was built in Abingdon between 11th and 13th September 1957 - and has a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate to prove it. She was immediately exported to South Africa where she spent most of her life in the warm and dry before returning to the UK in 2005.

She was then subject to a total ground up nut and bolt restoration since when she has covered only 3. 00 miles. She remains a very 'original' car and is in great mechanical and structural shape.

She was examined by one of the leading classic car insurers in 2011 and was assessed as being in A1 condition in every category: body; paintwork; chassis; interior; engine; transmission and electrical equipment. Not bad for a car that's over 55 years old. Since that examination. she's been serviced annually despite covering less than 1. 00 miles in that time.

She had extensive paint renovation in 2013 at a recognised and well-respected MG Owners' Club approved specialist with Waxoyl being injected everywhere possible at the same time.

I had her MOT'd last May - although she no longer is required to have an MOT certificate. She sailed through with no advisories and I'll happily get her re-MOT'd for her new owner. She's tax-exempt but is taxed until March 2015.

As you'd expect of a car of this quality. she starts on the button. and runs well. with excellent oil pressure and water temperature. She drives and pulls up in a straight line and generally behaves as you'd expect her to.

She's kept in a large. dry garage and used for pleasure rides only. when the weather allows.

I'm selling her because my wife doesn't enjoy her as much as I do. and there's nowhere to put the dogs for trips out! So I'll probably end up with an MGB GT or MGC GT!

As you can see from the photos. which were taken in March 2014. she is a very attractive car. She is admired wherever we go. but she needs a new home. Whoever buys her will be delighted with her.
