Sale price: $6,000.00 make an offer

Car location: Bridgenorth, Tasmania, Australia

Seller's notes: MGB GT 1967 (no overdrive) This is an almost 50 year old vehicle and the first thing a 'looker' asks 'Is there any rust? Actually there is very little rust on the vehicle only where it has sutained damage. This vehicle was in excellent working condition until it was containered and transported from Far North Queensland. Some jostling occurred during transportation and it sustained considerable damage. But nothing that a hammer and paint job cannot fix. I have shown the damage in the photos so that there is no misunderstanding as to the condition of the vehicle. The interior seating has been recovered so although an authentic design it is not original the rest however is. The steering wheel is the original wooden one the wire wheels also original although they do need chroming now as does the front and rear bumpers. The engine needs a few tweaks but when you turn it over you know this is the real Mccoy.Iis an old used vehicle in need of TLC paint engine over haul. email further queries

This is an almost 50 year old vehicle and the first thing a 'looker' asks 'Is there any rust? Actually there is very little rust on the vehicle only where it has sutained damage. This vehicle was in excellent working condition until it was containered and transported from Far North Queensland. Some jostling occurred during transportation and our poor wee gem sustained considerable damage. But nothing that a hammer and paint job cannot fix. I have shown the damage in the photos so that there is no misunderstanding as to the condition of the vehicle. The interior seating has been recovered so although an authentic design it is not original. The rest however is . The steering wheel is the original wooden one the wire wheels also original although they do need chroming now as does the front and rear bumpers. The engine needs a few tweaks but when you turn it over you know this is the real McCoy a sound like no other. The vehicle has been garaged under cover for the last six years as we run a berry farm and there is just no time to work on it. We are now selling up and moving overseas so we must let it go. Even though it hasn't been used for the last few years it is still a delight to have a sit in it or just enjoy looking at it. But please lookers. realise this is an old vehicle if we had the time it wouldn't take too much to tweak her and get her turned over. She still has the original 6v x 2 batteries. Not sure if they can still start her up but I can say if the batteries can be charged she will start you still couldn't drive her away as the RWC is no longer valid. The paint work is still in pretty good condition except as I said where it has been bumped and knocked. The hatch door works perfectly the hood needs a slight relignment. It is only really the rear hatch door that needs most attention from a damage point of view. A sand. undercoat and paint spray would be sufficient. The mechanics of the door are fine. This is not a vehicle that you can pick up park your self in and go off and party. It still needs some serious work in places and is best suited to a person with a bit of knowledge of restoration and a heart for the job.
Well we have had a couple of 'tyre kickers' look at it but they haven't either the courage or knowledge for the job. If I get it turned over the price will rocket.
