Up for sale is this rare and desirable 1987 Mercedes 190e 2. 3 16V Cosworth with the dogleg 5-speed! This 190e is 1 of roughly 2200 units sold in the US from 86-87'. Many of them were automatic or smoke silver. but this is the most desirable combination! 87'. Black Pearl Metallic. Dogleg 5-speed! This 190e has ULTRA low miles with just under 93k!!! There is a bit of history with this car as well. I acquired this 190e a few months ago from a guy who bought it in New York. The guy in New York who had it found it in a warehouse that he had bought! In the back of the warehouse there was a corner that was stacked to the ceiling with boxes and under all the boxes was this beautiful 190e! It had been off the road for 10-years according to its license plate and best of all. it had the title in the glove box. The guy got the car back on the road and let his father drive it for a few years before selling it. The guy I got it from had the car for a year and started acquiring parts to bring the car up to his standards. but he had a job change and was forced to sell. I bought this 16V needing some work. I have put a ton of time and money into this project and have put just under 1. 00 miles on it in the last few months. It drives excellent and gets looks every time I drive it! I hate to see it go. but it's time for someone else to enjoy it. There are only a handful of these for sale right now. and none with these miles. clean history. and recent maintenance. This 190e runs and drives excellent! All buttons. lights. and gauges work as they should with the exception of the analog clock in the cluster. sunroof switch is bad. and the AC compressor is original and needs to be replaced. The motor runs extremely well and pulls very hard! It is a bit cold natured though. and takes a few minutes to warm up. When its cold the idle can be a little sporadic. but once it's warm it fantastic.

The car appears to be 100% original paint. with no accidents or prior damage! All panels are original and correct! Clean carfax! The paint is smooth and glossy. but does have a few clear coat issues. and many lights scratches. There are also a few small dings. but nothing major and far less than most 27 year old cars! True survivor car! (Please see pictures) The interior is in fantastic overall condition. Some wear here and there. and one small area on the rear bench that has some leather missing. but please see the pictures and judge for yourself! Far better interior than any I've seen in a LONG time!
