UP FOR AUCTION IS A SPECTACULAR
'28 PICKUP I PURCHASED FROM
THE SECOND OWNER OF THE TRUCK
***** ****** ***** ****** *******
This truck comes with
a very unique
history!!
***** ***** ****** *****
I purchased this truck from the
92 year old gentleman who was
the second owner of the truck
with the help from his son as
the gentleman has Alzheimers .
which is only reason truck was
sold as he could no longer drive it.
The day I bought the truck no one
could get it started. but amazingly.
the 92 year old man with
Alzheimers. got in the front
seat. turned on the gas. pulled
the choke out. set the timing
lever on the steering column
turned on the key and the car
started at second turn of
the flywheel!!
He said. son. do you mind if
I take her for one last spin?
Then took me around
the block in the truck!!!
Since that day. the old girl has
started up for me everytime
at usually a half a spin of
the starter!!
We take it out to a car show
locally here in Daytona Beach
twice a month on a 80 mile
round trip at 45-50 mph
never having an issue!
Uses and drops no fluids
Cools off fantasticly!
We just crusied bike week here
in Daytona Beach today and
creeped along at turtle speed.
stopped most of time in traffic
for an hour and a half and as
I watched the working
thermostat on top of radiator
. SHE NEVER WENT UP A PINCH!!
The brakes stop you at high
speed with no pull what-so-ever.
****** *********** ******
THIS TRUCK COMES
WITH A GREAT
STORY!!
The 92 year old gentleman I bought the
truck from was the second owner
and had owned it for 65 years.
Ten years ago in Indiana he decided
to completely dismantle the truck
and take in his basement where
he would do a 100% frame off
restoration on the old truck
piece by piece right there
in the basement !!
NOW HERE IS THE
BEST PART!
After a two year long
FRAME OFF RESTORATION.
He hires a Buldozer to come
over to knock out the wall
of the basement to get
the truck out!!!
The son told me when I bought
the truck the old man luckily
had a son-inlaw who was a
brick layer to fix the wall.
This truck has only
500 miles
since that FRAME
OFF RESTORATION
The truck comes with a new
Convertible top and all new
side curtains
( shown in bed of truck)
Interior is immaculate with
original beautiful steering wheel
Has a working thermostat
on top of radiator
You will note the engine is
not painted pretty like most
you see on the internet.
Seems the old guy doesn't believe
in making an engine pretty.
but don't let the old metal
fool you.
it runs like it
has 500 miles.
because it does!!
It has a beautiful oak bed
and side rails
Under the truck was done
right as well and you will note
a brand new exhaust system
done when restored.
The black finish on the on the
fenders has a beautiful high
gloss lustre.
The cream color on the body has a
nice gloss but does show to be
ten years old and did not hold up
as well as the black fenders.
The car would be an absolute
show truck with a repaint or enjoyed
just the way it is.
My friends say I am a fanatic.
and I am.
so. I like my antique
cars perfect.
This car may be perfect for you
as well just as is.
This MAGNIFICENT TRUCK IS
READY FOR CAR SHOWS. SWAP MEETS
OR JUST TAKING OUT FOR A SUNDAY
CRUISE AND NEEDS NOTHING
WHAT-SO-EVER!!
DON'T PUT THIS ONE ON
YOUR WATCH LIST AND
WATCH IT DISAPEAR!
We apologize up front if you miss
this car. as many of our items sell
prior to end of auction. We feel this is
because we offer our classic cars at
very reasonable prices typically
thousands under the prices
