Here in the most recent years at auction. classic truck restorations and resto-mods like this 1940 Ford have become quite popular throughout the classic car enthusiast world. There is nothing better than looking at a well put together classic truck to take it from the stereotyped “farm” vehicle to the eye popping street cruiser that you see so often today.

As you can clearly see. the owner of this 1940 Ford truck was wanting to express himself fully through the build and design of this truck. in which he did not fail to impress. The original restoration/fabrication first begun back in 2001 and has been added to ever since.

Now we can make our way to the exterior where most of the custom additions can be found on this beauty. Starting with the color. the truck is painted in a House of Kolor custom mix while both real a ghost flames flow from front to rear making the truck look like its moving while standing still.

We are very proud to present this multi show winner. The Zephyr also made the cover of Street Rodder Magazine in 2001. It also had a cameo appearence in the movie Hit The Road Jack.

The paint is still in excellent condition and one look will let you know that many hours went into perfecting the body for a mirror like finish. The top of the truck has been chopped and the windshield has been leaned back at the front.

The front fenders have been peaked and stretched “fadeaway” style into suicide doors. All of the side trim has been shaved while both the doors and the cab have been stretched 4 inches. The running boards along the side are custom hand built and run into the 1936 Zephr rear fenders.

Now to finish off with introducing you to one of the most beautiful interiors you may ever see inside of a classic pickup truck.

Starting with the handbuilt bench seat wrapped in white pearl material with blue accents really give you a comfy ride as you drive down the road.

Ididit chrome tilt steering column attached to a Lecarra steering wheel allow you to really have firm control when driving the truck and can adjust to any size driver.

You can keep an eye on all engine vitals. as well as speed. when you gaze into the Stuart Warner gauges which seems to fit perfectly with the custom dashboard.

The front end has been replaced with a 1939 Zephr front end with the sheet metal below the amazing chromed grill has been rolled under and the front headlights have been molded into the body.

Starting under the hood. you can first gaze your eyes on the beautifully enhanced Chevy 350cu. in. V8 crate engine. You can see plenty of chrome and polish when you look at the valve covers. engine cover. radiator lines. intake manifold and the dual K&N filters.

It is bolted to a Jet Performance automatic transmission and shifts better than many new production sports cars you would drive today. A Cool Flex US Radiator helps keep this beast cool under any type of engine rpms you may find yourself driving in. Also. there was the addition of Unkl Al's Solenoids and a Ron Francis Wiring Harness.

The fenders have been molded into the hand built rear bed. The inside of the bed has recently been redone and is flawless. The license plate is molded into the body. the rear tail pan has been molded into the body and bed as well. the addition of 1939 Ford taillights finish off all the custom body modifications.

We want to thank our friends at thhe Frontiers Of Flight Museum for their great backgrounf for many of our shots. Please stop in and visit the museum when in Dallas.

The whole body sits atop a chassis completed with brand new TCI Stage 4 suspension. Also. there is the addition of Air Ride Technology Pro Ride System. A set of 15x7 Colorado polished rims really adds the icing on the cake in completing the exterior.

The custom bed done by Dick Dean. is in excellent condition with billet hinges and power operated deck lid.

Even though this is an older build. it is still in great condition.
