Car was originally purchased in Augusta. GA and spent the majority of its life in Augusta and Charleston. SC.
The second owner had the car for 25 years. The car was serviced for many years by Docs Garage in Lexington. SC
This is a very nice example of the legendary 1973 Porsche 911E Coupe.
It is a great running and driving car. The car starts right up and runs great.
The car drives and shifts very smoothly. has excellent power and brakes really well.
This is a well cared for car that has had a very nice re-spray of the original Ivory paint. The paint has a very nice shine but has a small spot of surface rust behind the front wheel on the drivers side and a small bubble behind the rear passenger side wheel. There is also some paint chipping on the rear bumper. The front bumper has the typical chips and dings. Otherwise. there is no rust or damage anywhere else on the car.
The car had RS flares added many years ago.
The tires on the car are almost new.
The interior is in amazing condition and looks better in person than it does in the pictures. It was redone to a very high standard a few years ago.
There is a story that follows the car that the original owner wanted green as a tribute to the Augusta National Golf Club in his hometown of Augusta. GA.
Newer Alpine stereo with Kenwood speakers added recently.
The original engine was rebuilt to 2. 7 specs a few years. It has the original E cams and 2. 7 heads. The engine runs great and pulls very strong and smooth. No leaks and only a small amount of smoke on start-up.
The 915 5 speed transmission works great and shifts very smoothly.
This is an extremely fun car to drive. It looks amazing and gets tons of looks and comments wherever it goes. This car is not a concours car currently. but with very little effort could be made into one.
Right now it is a fantastic driver that could be driven daily with very little effort. Everything works including A/C. sunroof. stereo. lights. etc.
There are a couple of things that could be replaced to improve the car right away. For example. the windshield has a crack and could use a replacement. There are no carpets on the floor in the rear and there is no carpet in the trunk.
