1935 Wolseley Wasp

4 door saloon

1069cc OHC (overhead camshaft) original engine. 12 volts electrics and hydraulic brakes. All rare features on a 1935 car.  

Restored over a 2 year period 2010-2012

Many new parts

Bare metal re-spray. engine rebuild etc

Sadly for sale is my beautiful Wolseley car that I have owned for the past two years.

A real time-warp right down to the working semaphore indicators and the sliding roof.

During my ownership I have mainly used this vehicle as a wedding car and have many photos showing lots of happy couples. with the car. nbsp;on their big day.

A fantastic part to any wedding and often becomes a big part to the day.

I have showed this car at many meets and even joined the London to Brighton old crocks run as well as running the Brooklands to Brighton Classic car run for the past 2 years.

Fully working as it should until:- last November. whilst on a wedding run. the car lost oil pressure and started to chatter at the big end area. I had the car recovered and have since had it tucked under blankets in my garage.

Not sure what the problem is but would suspect oil pump.

The car still starts and runs for anyone to view but knocks a bit if revved hard.

I do not have the time to repair this vehicle due to a new business venture. so would love the car to go to an enthusiast who has the time to investigate and repair.

This Wolseley is well known in the Wolseley circuit and is often described as one of the best. amongst a handful of Wasps surviving.

I could go on and on about the condition of this car. praising the bodywork. woodwork. paintwork. chrome etc but my typing is rather slow and I need to go to bed. so I will also add a link to a further 17 photographs OF MY CAR which highlights the Wasp in general on the Wolseley Owners Club web-site.
