Immaculate 1957 Corvette. black with silver cove. black convertible top. and original style red interior.

Matching numbers. 283/270 horsepower with three-speed transmission.

Complete body-off restoration on a very straight body and frame.

There were 6. 39 Corvettes produced in 1957. The 1957 Corvette restyle positioned it as an icon of the most recognized sports car in American then and to this day. It was the first American sports car capable of competing with foreign sports car competition.

Engine was run on a dynamometer to be broken in correctly. The engine runs well and does not use oil.

Four radial tires with 2 1/2 inch wide white walls. The tires have approximately 3. 00 miles on them from the purchase date. The tires are manufactured by Michelin under the US Royal brand name. The US Royal brand was one of three tires you could get with your 1957 Corvette from GM in 1957. The tires have a very comfortable ride with 1950's appearance and original brand name.

MSD unit. The MSD unit on the car assists the ignition function on this 1957 high performance engine. The MSD is "capacitive discharge ignition technology". ie. it beefs up the spark and increases the duration of the spark--the engine runs more smoothly.

 Additional Information:Each time the car was taken out. it was cleaned and detailed. The car has been garage-kept and has not been wet since the restoration. High test gasoline with an additive to protect the motor has always been used. Valvoline VRI racing oil SAE 40 has been oil of choice for engine protection. Oil and filter are changed between 250 and 500 miles. using factory oil filters. The cooling system is drained every December and new anti-freeze is used. Same owner for 20 years!
