When was the last time you saw a Buick Standard Six at a car show? Not recently? We didn't think so. How about one with the heart and soul of a hot rod?

This Buick is powered by a 350  cubic inch Buick V8. and power makes its way to the back wheels through a TH350 automatic transmission. That's a huge improvement over the 50 horsepower inline-6 that the car came with originally.

Its underpinnings are hot rod as well. but not in the traditional sense. Sure. there are disc brakes on all four corners. but the suspension? Sourced from a 1969-1976 Jaguar E-type up front (so that means rack and pinion steering). and a 1968-1982 Corvette out back. The result? A classic car that looks the part. but drives much nicer than anyone would ever suspect.

Despite its hot rod aspirations. the interior of this Buick is still covered in its original green fabric. The only additions have been a steering column from a Buick Riviera. and an air conditioning unit. That's right – this nearly 90 year old car has air conditioning. It doesn't get much better than that for old school look and modern comfort. You can fire this baby up and drive it anywhere – rain or shine.
