Alfa Romeo Spider Series 4 Yellow 1992

Here is the info for this Alfa Spider Series 4.   Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions but I hope to give plenty of information -I have sold a number of my cars on ebay over the years (one of which was a kit car I built myself)  so please feel free to look at the feedback as well.   I've tried to take pictures that give you a good idea of condition etc but there is no substitute for viewing so if you want to do so please let me know.   I've started it at the minimum it can go for (so no offers below this please. or part ex) - I hope it does more as if you have been looking at these you will see that there are one or two out there recently for what I see as silly money (10k ish)  but they do finally seem to be getting some recognition!  I've decided to let the number go with the car -it wouldn't seem right on anything else!!

The car is 1992 but was first UK registered in 1997 hence the first reg date on the log book.

I acquired the car in Summer 2008. It came from a chap who kept it in  a carcoon. We have kept it in a heated garage. I HPI'd it when I bought it and have the certificate.   It currently has just over 81. 00 km on the clock which is circa 50. 00 miles.   We have done 10. 00 km  in the car since we acquired it over the last 6 years. It is a summer car which comes out to do things like take me and my son the silverstone classic!

When I bought it. it needed a head gasket so it went to Intaservices in Leicester (Alfa specialist) and had new valve guides. head skim. head gasket. valve seats re cut etc - it was a little over £830 of work. I have a copy of the invoice.   Since then it hasn't really needed much other than  a new  rear exhaust section. and a new brake caliper and pads last summer. I've also fitted new hood clips and a new rear view mirror.

I have the original hand book and service book from before it was imported (which was in 1997).   This shows its services in 1992. 1994. 1995 and 1996. (up to circa 25. 00 ). I have then have 15 MOT certificates that take you all the way through from  September 1997 to now -this tracks the mileage all the way through to its current level.

I have a detailed workshop manual as well.

The bodywork is great as the series 4 benefitted from rust protection unlike the earlier models. I think it helps she lives in a  warm garage as well.   I have shown the small tear on the passenger seat and the chips on the mirror stem  - but I've also tried to show the engine bay and boot clearly so you can see the condition. The heater (if you know about these) is typically of little use.  She has always left a comforting drop or two of oil. but nothing of any concern for me.   One of the alloys has some damage to it but overall they look very good.

We intended to buy a red one - and only went to view this to get an idea on condition -and ended up bringing her home. She has been great but its time for us to move on to something different.
