It has been converted from 6v to 12v but needs checking out, it starts, runs and drives but has no lights, but all gauges appear to work.While the truck will drive it needs to be transported away, but has the potential to be a super cool rod.

This is a 1955 Ford Truck F100 Custom Cab. the best shaped truck the US have ever produced in my opinion. it is a running truck that has recently been imported to the UK from California.  It has been UK registered. I have a UK V5 and tax disc (free). The truck does not require an MOT as it is pre-1960 but it does need some work before I'd recommend driving it on the roads here.
The previous Californian owner apparently drove the truck several times around the block with no problems. I would draw your attention to the wiring. not an issue if you have experience of these old girls or building rods. The Holley 2 barrel carb has been rebuilt and the engine runs strong.  It has the original V8 239ci Y-block motor with dual exhaust added and has a power brake booster added between the frame rails. Transmission is a 3 speed Overdrive that apparently works like it should - I have moved it around my drive way and the clutch feels ok and the brakes are very good.

Body work is in great condition. no rust. only one paint job over the original paint (you can see the original paint in a lot of areas coming through).  Either leave like this and drive. or paint it - nice and shiney.  Cab corner. roof. fenders and other bodywork is good. it has a couple of dents here and there but nothing bad at all.  Both door glasses are cracked. easily replaced. a replacement quarter light for the drivers side is provided. I will try to fit if I have time before the sale.
Frame is original uncut and good. will need some cleaning as there is oil here and there. but it is sound and ready for an IFS and slamming.

Interior is good nice dash uncut and has been converted over to 12V with new wiring harness that the previous owner did.  Looks good; a new battery. wipers work. will need front and tail lights hooked up. Has plywood in bed.

Overall this is a good truck for someone who wants to drive and fix as u go. Remember this is an old truck - it steers like one!!!
The price reflects it's condition. I have described the vehicle as honestly as I can. you will have to come. look and decide for yourself.  You will not be test driving it on the road for the reasons I gave described. but you're welcome to start her up. and feel the clutch. brakes etc. No time wasters thank you. I am selling this privately. do not show up just wanting to have a look.
