Here we have a 1960 TRIUMPH TR3a A genuine BARN FIND the car had been owned by the previous owner since the car was 6 months old he used as his main car until he became very ill in 1979 it was then put in his barn and it has been there ever since we purchased it from his widow who we were introduced to by the owner of the TR4 that I recently sold on Ebay (see my feedback)This is a car that does need extensive restoration the main chassis and underside are very solid. The car is 100% steel and if you know your Tr3's this is very rare with front headlight panels commanding in excess of £1000 alone as they are now unavailable the outer wings have rust at the bottoms but repair panels are easily available as are the front foot wells which need attention. The car shows surface rust on boot and bonnet but this is all it is. As i said she has laid untouched for 30 years but I was assured that she ran great when she was put away. I decided to  see if she would start I renewed the oil cleaned the carbs. changed points and cleaned plugs fitted a battery gave her fuel and hey presto she ran SUPERB I checked compression's and they all showed 135 plus it had been stored with antifreeze and survived the "Big Sleep" wellOne has to appreciate that this is an unrestored (ever) TR3a and with prices going stratospheric on restored examples this is a VERY RARE opportunity to buy at good price she is 100% complete which is very important. We are a small restoration and classic car sellers based in Lancashire this is a USA car with ALL TAXES PAID listed on DVLA/HM customs NOVA database only needs to be Mot'd to register and get a genuine 1960 UK registration number (We can do this for you if unsure)We recently saw a similar TR3a but fitted with GRP front and outer wings sold at Anglia Classic auctions needing MAJOR restoration.
