Seller's notes: A full photo history of the rebuild is on the saabv4 webpages forum. in brief the car was stripped to it's shell, all rust cut out with new repair sections inner and outer sills, inner wing repairs, shell treated then primed, anti chipping and colour coats, new genuine steel wings front and rear,new rubbers, new rear brake cylinders, new front calliper pistons and rubbers, new brake pads, new jetex exhaust, engine stripped with hardened valve seats unleaded conversion,new balance shaft bearings, new gaskets top and bottom including genuine valve stem seals,new clutch including pressure plate and bearing, rebuilt drive shafts with new gaiters,gearbox fine with working freewheel, new webber carbureter, rebuilt distributor, new coil, new fan belt, new battery, 2000 miles completed since rebuild and the car runs and drives faultlessly.

This car has been associated with my family from new. it spent fourteen years in a barn and in August 2012 I started the rebuild. as listed in item description. The car was stripped to a shell put in a roll over jig. all rust was removed and new repair sections welded into floor. new sills and repair sections to inner wings. the shell was rust treated primed with anti chipping compound applied and painted. the body was rebuilt with new original equipment steel wings front and rear. new rear brake cylinders. new front brake calliper pistons and rubbers. new pads. the engine was stripped and rebuilt with the heads having hardened valve seats to convert to unleaded. new balance shaft bearings. ew gaskets. new clutch. pressure plate and bearing. new carburetor. reconditioned distributor. new coil. new water pump bearings. new master and slave cylinder clutch rubbers. serviced gearbox with working free wheel. rebuilt drive shafts with new rubbers. new track rod ends. new jetex exhaust. new correctly sized tyres. new battery. fan belt. hoses etc.  new carpet. The car cavities have been pumped full of wax oil and it has been dry stored and used in the dry since the rebuild.

The rebuild was recorded with photographs on the saab 96v4 webpages in the projects forum 'saab 96 rebuild after 14 years'.

The car has completed 2000 miles and runs perfectly it is a good clean tidy reliable car. benefits from tax exemption and cheap insurance.

The car will be sold with a new MOT.

The car has seat covers which hide poor and worn upholstery however it is tidy and comfortable with the remainder of the interior in good condition.

Regretably I have to sell as I need the finance and garage space for another project.
