YAZTEC AUTOMOTIVE IS PROUD TO OFFER THIS EXTREMELY RARE 1933 CHEVROLET DELUXE PANEL TRUCK FOR SALE. THERE WERE ONLY 369 DELUXE PANEL TRUCKS MANUFACTORED IN 1933 ( SEE PHOTO OF THE PRODUCTION NUMBERS). WE FOUND THIS TRUCK PARKED INSIDE AN OLD BARN IN JACKSON. TENNESSEE. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN PARKED FOR A LONG TIME BUT WELL PRESERVED. THIS ONE FAMILY OWNED TRUCK WAS PURCHASED NEW IN NASHVILLE TENNESSEE AND SPENT ALL ITS LIFE IN JACKSON. TENNESSE.   THE FIRST OWNER ( FATHER) CONVEYED THE OWNERSHIP OF THE TRUCK TO HIS SON ON 6/9/1965 ( SEE PHOTO OF THE TITLE). WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S MANUAL.

 

THIS TRUCK NEEDS FULL RESTORATION. THE PAINT IS VERY OLD. CHIPPED. PEELING ON THE ROOF. FADED. ETC. HOWEVER. THE 206. 8 CUBIC INCH 6 CYLINDER ENGINE RUNS LIKE A WELL OILED SEWING MACHINE. THE 3 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION SHIFTS WELL THROUGH ALL GEARS AND THE REVERSE. THE CLUTCH FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. THE BRAKES AND LIGHTS WORK. IT HAS A FACTORY HEATER. ALL GAUGES AND LIGHTS WORK. HERE IS THE DESCRIPTION:

 

EXTERIOR:

THIS TRUCK NEED FULL RESTORATION. THE ALL STEEL BODY PANELS ARE ARE ORIGINAL. THE PANELS ARE SOLID WITH SOME PITTING WHICH IS NORMAL FOR A 81 YEAR OLD TRUCK. THE RUNNING BOARDS HAVE SOME PIN HOLES. THE FRAME IS SOLID. THESE TRUCKS HAVE A LOT OF WOOD SUB-STRUCTURE. THE WOOD IN THE DOORS. MAIN BODY. AND DASH ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THE DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE WITHOUIT SAGGING. WE ARE SURE THAT SOME AREAS HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AND REINFORCED IN THE PAST BUT MOSTLY ORIGINAL. WE WERE TOLD THAT THESE PANEL TRUCKS WERE ORIGINALLY ALL  PAINTED A YELLOW/ORANGE COLOR. AT SOME TIME IN THE PAST. THIS TRUCK WAS PAINTED RED AND THE GRAPHICS WERE ADDED TO REFLECT THE NATURE OF THE PREVIOUS OWNER'S BUSINESS. THE WIRE WHEELS INCLUDING THE SPARES ( ONE MOUNTED ON THE RUNNING BOARD AND ONE INSIDE THE TRUCK) ARE IN GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION. THE TIRES ARE VERY OLD BUT HOLD AIR WELL. THERE ARE TWO ADDITIONAL TIRES THAT WE INCLUDE IN THE SALE. THE WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED. IT IS JUST A FLAT PLATE AND CAN BE REPLACED ECONOMICALLY. THE SIDE WINDOWS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THE BRIGHT WORKS NEED RE-PLATING.

 

INTERIOR:

THE SEAT COVERS ARE OLD BUT FUNCTIONAL. THE DASH PAINT IS CRACKED. THE WOOD FLOOR PANELS INSIDE THE CAB ARE OLD AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE STEERING WHEEL AND GAUGES LOOK ORIGINAL. THE DASH PAINT IS CRACKED.

 

MECHANICAL:

THE BEST PART OF THIS TRUCK IS THE WAY THE ENGINE RUNS. THE ENGINE CRANKS UP IMMEDIATELY. IT RUNS COOL. HAS GREAT OIL PRESSURE ( 15 PSI AT IDLE WHEN COLD AND WHEN DRIVING-SEE PHOTO). NATURALLY THERE ARE SOME OIL LEAKS. THE FUEL LINE TO THE BOWL HAS A SMALL LEAK. THE HOSES ARE VERY OLD AND BRITTLE. I HAVE PERSONALLY DRIVEN THIS TRUCK FOR ABOUT A MILE. IT DRIVES SMOOTH EVEN WITH THE OLD TIRES AND STOPS WELL. HOWEVER. ALL MECHANICAL COMPONENTS MUST BE CHECKED BEFORE GETTING ON A MAIN ROAD. THE 3 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION SHIFTS WELL THROUGH ALL GEARS AND THE REVERSE. THE CLUTCH FUNCTIONS PROPERLY. THE EXHAUST SYSTEM IS OLD BUT FUNCTIONAL.

 

ELECTRICAL:

THESE TRUCKS ORIGINALLY CAME WITH A 6 VOLT SYSTEM. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD CHANGED THE SYSTEM TO AN 8 VOLT  WHICH HELPS THE TRUCK CRANK WITH EASE AND HAVE BRIGHTER LIGHTS. THE LIGHTS WORK. THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE. AMPMETER. AND THE TEMP. GAUGE WORK. THE PICTURES OF COUPLE GAUGES WERE TAKEN WHEN THE CAR WAS RUNNING. THE SPEEDOMETER DIAL FUNCTIONS OFF AND ON BUT THE ODOMETER WORKS.

 

CARGO AREA:

THE WOOD FLOOR PLANKS LOOK ORIGINAL. SOLID. AND IN GOOD CONDITION. ALL FLOOR HARDWARE ARE ORIGINAL. THE REAR CARGO DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE WELL.

 

ENGINE COMPARTMENT:

THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT LOOKS ORIGINAL. THE FIREWALL STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL COLOR. THE ORIGINAL METAL INFORMATION PLATE IS STILL MOUNTED ON THE FIREWALL. THE SERIAL NUMBER FOR THE CAR WHICH IS THE SAME AS THE ENGINE NUMBER IS STAMPED ON A FLAT PAD ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENGIEN BLOCK ( SEE PHOTOS) BEHIND THE FUEL BOWL.

 

WE HAVE TRIED TO DESCRIBE AN 81 YEAR OLD TRUCK TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY. PLEASE READ THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION AND VIEW THE 100 HIGH QUALITY IMAGES BEFORE BIDDING. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE MONEY IN HAND AND FULL INTENTION TO FINALIZE THE TRANSACTION AFTER YOU WIN THE TRUCK.
