DESCRIPTION

This 1971 Chevelle SS tribute car is a stunning example of a classic muscle car. With just over 6. 00 miles since it was built/restored. the car has very little signs of use. and reflects the looks and style of an era without breaking your bank account.

The first thing that catches your eye is the beautiful Rosewood paint on the car. It was taken down to bare metal before being treated to multiple coats of stuff. and has been buffed to a wet looking. high-gloss finish.

The body underneath is VERY straight. as you can see in the EXTRA-LARGE photos below. and I have taken a 4”x4” felt covered magnet over the entire car and it sticks like glue!

No beer can. chicken wire. or other backyard repairs on this machine. just clean steel from front to back.

A real steel cowl hood with vent was selected and installed. and everything on top got treated to twin white racing stripes which also look fantastic.

Minor stone chips. some hairline scuffs. and other normal signs of wear are about the only thing you will find on the cars painted surfaces. There is one scratch mark about 2. 25” in length and a few millimeters wide at the passenger side rear of the car just above the end of the rear bumper. I have highlighted it in the photos below. Even though the finish is not showroom perfect. as the car has been driven about 6. 00 miles to shows throughout the Southeastern United States. it is still extremely nice. and actually just won best paint at a local car show here near the beach last week!

Take it to any local or regional car show with pride. and know that it will still snap necks like a turkey farmer whenever you drive by.

Chrome and bright work is a mix of restored original and NOS parts. and all of it looks fantastic. with just the faintest signs of normal use evident.

Glass is great. and looks wonderful all the way around with no cracking. chips. or damage evident. Window seals and fuzzies are in great condition. and function as they should.

Emblems are correct and installed in the right spots. They look fantastic on the car.

Lights are all functional and look good while doing it.

The CRAGAR wheels were selected to give it that mild custom look. and then wrapped in brand new SIGMA SUPREME TR radial tires all the way around. Tires are size P235/75R15 up front. and P275/60R15 in the rear. They are clean and damage free. and have at least 90% of the useable tread remaining.

Release the hood pins and open up the cowl hood to reveal a very clean engine bay and a great running and performing 350ci GM V8 motor.

The prior owners family said they knew the motor was rebuilt when the car was restored a few years and 6. 00 odd miles ago. and one cursory look around assures you of that. Everything looks clean. neat. and like it was recently touched or installed. All of the hoses. wiring. trim pieces. and decals still show wonderfully. and the car comes with both the chrome air cleaner shown in the photos. and an authentic GM stock air cleaner shown in the trunk photos.

The engine bay is neat and clean. and once you take the time to detail the car. it is going to look even better!

The car was an original factory air vehicle. and the dryer box is still intact. along with the interior vents and control panel. You would need to buy a dryer. condenser. evaporator. lines. and do the install. and you could probably get A/C flowing again!

The engine fires up with ease. idles cleanly. and is ready to roll whenever you are. Snick the rebuilt TH350 transmission into gear using the B&M Racing ratchet shifter. and the car rolls down the road with ease.

The posi trac 10 bolt rear keeps you tracking straight. and the car has plenty of power for on-road shenanigans. Not that I condone that sort of thing.

It has great road manners. and handles very well thanks to recent suspension component restoration within the last 6. 00 miles.

Power steering is light. yet confidence inspiring. and you can lead this car wherever you want it to go with ease.

Brakes are sure and solid. and are exceptionally well adjusted to bring you down from speed without any wander. pulling. abnormal fade. or excessive modulation.

I have taken the car on two separate road trips. once to the beach where we sat in bumper-to-bumper traffic for 40 minutes. and another longer cruise of about 90 miles round trip. The car performed incredibly well in both situations. didn’t overheat. and didn’t do anything odd the entire time.

The prior owner had taken it on out of State journeys without any issues. and I would bet you drive this car wherever you wanted to take it without incident.

Underneath. the car is solid and bare metal. No signs of rot. soft spots. panel replacement. or any other issues. I have put about 7 photos of it on a lift for you to see below.

Everything is clean and solid. just not painted up and pretty.

Headers feed into straight pipes that go into Cherry Bomb style mufflers before exiting out the back of the car. It sounds WICKED! Great rumble at idle. a nice bark when you kick it down. and a mellow tone when at cruising speed.

If you put the car up on a lift and pressure washed and cleaned the underside. it would look even nicer. Hell. if you sprayed some chassis black on it while it was up it would be stellar!

Or. just leave it clean and solid like it is and enjoy driving the thing.

Open the trunk and you get a solid. original. and undamaged pan with a vinyl mat in place. and a full sized steel spare wheel and tire. In the photos you can also see the aforementioned original air cleaner that comes with the car.

Inside. the interior is absolutely beautiful. super clean. and shows wonderfully from every angle.

Vinyl buckets up front are extremely clean. flip forward like they should. and match the rear bench perfectly. The seats look great. and have no rips. tears. or seam pulls evident.

Door panels. kick panels. rear package shelf. dash and rear seat trim panels all look fantastic. with just a little cracked area on each of the rear seat panels where they mate to the seat back. I have shown them in the photos below. and you can get NOS style units for a minimal investment from a variety of places should you want it to be perfect.

Headliner is super clean. as are the visors. and the carpeting is in wonderful. damage free condition as well.

Dash has a functional factory speedo and odometer. and is fit with the original A/C vents and control panel. Headlamp switch and wiper switch work as they should as well. The dash pad is very clean and nice. and only has 3 small holes that were put in it to mount a tachometer at one point in the cars life. It didn’t bother the prior owner when the car was redone. so it was left in place.

Glovebox opens to show a clean interior. and the lock functions as well.

An AM/FM Cassette head unit is currently installed in the car. but does not work at this time. It is getting power. so I will assume that the vintage deck just finally gave up. I am sure that whoever gets this car will want a more modern stereo head unit anyway. so I left it alone.

A toggle switch beside the radio is functional. but I have no clue what it does. If you want to add fog lamps. or some other switchable item to the car. the switch is in place.

Factory column is in good condition. and is topped with a clean wooden 3-spoke steering wheel that looks and feels great.

The B&M shifter looks right at home in the car. and functions exactly like it should.

Overall. the interior of the car is just as clean and neat as the rest of it. and will make the new owner very happy.

This is a great driving. great looking. and great performing car that really catches people’s attention when you drive it.

The car is titled in FLORIDA as a 1971 CHEVROLET.  

Mileage on the working odometer shows 28. 56 but the title shows exempt for mileage due to the model year. I have no idea what the actual mileage is. and only know that the prior owners family said it was redone about 6. 00 miles ago.

It is in the dealerships name. and is NOT a consignment car.

It is ready for transfer to the next owner. and is eligible for export sale as well.
