For sale is my fine example of a 1958 Wolseley 15/50. Aimed at the upmarket saloon buyer. Wolseley cars were restrained and traditional to the last. Refusing to entertain fins and sharp edges. instead using big comfortable seats and walnut cappings and fascia. This car has been extensively restored and upgraded for modern day use with care not to lose its 1950's charm. Flashing indicators have been fitted with red rear lenses and clear white at the front. replicating the style of many fiftes cars in the early change over days from trafficators. The trafficators work equally as well on a seperate stalk.  Electric washers compliment the self-parking wipers and inertia reel front seat belts are fitted. In addition to this a tow bar is fitted with full electrics for those interested in towing a classic caravan. Under the bonnet the engine has been removed and rebuilt two years ago. it was re-bored with new five ringed MGA pistons and larger valves as used in the MG Magnette ZB with which the car shares its body shell. Also twin SU carbs and performance tubular exhaust system and new clutch complete the specification. The car now benefits from a 4. 3 to 1 diff in place of the original 4. 75 to 1 and the gearbox has been fitted with new syncromesh on the top three ratios. All of the above means that the car can be driven in comfort with good performance and all the modifications were fitted to other BMC cars of the day. The driving experience is excellent with accurate steering. good brakes and a very positive and quiet gearbox. With lots of tourqe the car will pull easily from low speeds in third and fourth gear and will start from rest in second gear quite easily. First gear is low and has that lovely engine whine on pull-away but except on hills or when heavily laden does not really require daily driving use. The upholstery has been renewed to a very high standard and quality carpets compliment the lavish interior. The walnut dash and door cappings are really in fantastic condition and all instruments and dials and switches work as new. Hidden under the dash is a two jack sat nav which is very useful should you tour with the car. New dampers have also been fitted making for a very cosseting and comfortable ride even by today's standards and very importantly the car can be used in wet weather with no concern of any water entering the car's doors or windows. The heater is also very effective and makes for comfortable winter driving. The car has had welding done to a high standard and the only small issues if i am being picky is there was a bit of rust under one rear door which I have wire brushed and treated  and a few small scabs on the bottom of a couple of doors which again have been treated from inside the panels and have not broken any paint and a slight miss match of paint on the passenger door below the chrome trim which shows up in sunlight. otherwise the paint is very nice and has a nice deep gloss and very respectable chrome.
