1989 CLASSIC ROVER AUSTIN MINI 1275cc

Hi. Welcome to my CLASSIFIED AD with BEST OFFER for my Austin Mini 1275cc. I have owned this Mini since 4/9/2002. so im nearly into 12 years of ownership. It has only had 4 owners since new and has only covered approx 83000 miles. although the speedo is 72302 miles(speedo clocks were changed when the dash was fitted). I have EVERY SINGLE MOT for it up until the MOT expired in 2011. A bit about the Mini. It is a very very solid and original Mini and it has only ever had both A-Panels and the passenger door replaced in the time ive owned it. It was stripped to a rolling shell in 2006 when these parts were replaced. along with some very minor local repairs to the outer sills. Any signs of rust were cut out and fresh metal welded in. I do have a photo book of the rebuild. but i will not be including it in the sale. It was treated to a 2 pack paint job on the body and roof. It is fitted with 13 inch Minilight style wheels. Some minor scratches to one or two and all tyres are like new. The standard engine was replaced in 2003 for a 1275 Metro engine. NOT an MG lump. just a standard 1275. The mileage was very very similar to that of the Mini at the time. so the speedo reading was near correct. The engine was stripped and rebuilt but needed nothing apart from all new gaskets etc. Interior was replaced with a Mini Cooper interior and treated to new carpets and dashboard. along with a Kenwood CD unit with 4 speakers and a Sub and Amp. I am fast approaching 40 years old so this Mini is not a "Boy Racer" Mini. It will. however. put a great big grin on your face when you plant your foot to the floor. The Mini was used as my daily car up until 2011 and could be seen at many Mini shows where it never let me down. It was always garaged at night and has been garaged under a sheet since 2011. I used to regularly start it up and move it in and out of the garage for a clean and put it back in. But now has come the time to let someone else enjoy it. New Classic car. not a Mini. has forced me to sell it. Ive fitted a NEW BATTERY. NEW FUEL PUMP and a NEW SPORTEX REAR BOX this year. I will put a 12 MONTH MOT on it for the new owner as i know it will sail through. Everything has been checked on it. But obviously. if it failed. i would fix it at my expense. This is NOT YOUR USUAL RUSTY MINI!!!!. It has been well looked after in the 12 years ive owned it and i will be sad to see it go. It has been a part of my life.
