I have owned this car for 22 years.  It is in good useable condition and underwent a partial restoration 2-3 years ago including:
new hoodnew front and rear bumpers. hub caps. wheel trims and door handlesnew ash frames in the doors and rear sectionbrake system refurbished including stainless steel sleeves in the slave cylindersradiator re-coredwheels zinc powder coated then resprayed in body colourdashboard and door cappings restored and re-veneeredfuel tank cleaned. tested and repairedchassis cleaned and painted with epoxy masticgearbox fully refurbished by specialisttoolbox area and adjacent bulkhead stripped and repaintedsteering system stripped and repaired
The upholstery is neither marked nor split.  Had I been keeping the car I would have had it re-coloured. The carpets should be replaced at some stage. The paintwork looks nice.  The body is almost all aluminium alloy and so there is no rust (including on the front wings which are steel).  However. it would need a respray to achieve concours standard. The engine runs sweetly and pulls very well compared with most 1800 Roadsters.  Like most of its age. it has a minor leak or two. The oil and temperature gauges do not work. There is an oil drip from the differential housing. The gear lever was converted to a floor change before I bought the car.  I prefer this but it is non-standard.
In general. much restoration work has been completed to make the car a good looking and useable classic.  Further work would be needed to bring it to concours standard including a respray and some detailing.  I bought the car in 1991 for £12000 and I have spent over £20000 on it in the last 3 years (although not all wisely) so at the likely selling price. the buyer should have a bargain!
