Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.1) based on 507 votes

very rare morris 8 series 2 tourer for full restoration and not for the faint hearted. Needs metal. ood. nd paintwork. echanical/engine work. econditioning of parts/Chrome. Please bare this in mind before even thinking of bidding for the car. This is not a new car so please don't expect it to be when coming to view.

I pulled this little tourer from a barn on Monday and to be honest I only expected the car to be for parts. After loading all of it onto the van in 100's of parts I slowly realized that it was a near complete car. as I finished and approached the guy for the paperwork I realized it had the buff log book. rint of the old v5 and a v5c stating 1 previous owner since 1938. the engine looks to be the original and has jan 1938 stamped in the casting also.

Folding roof frame is very good and moves well. over is good as shown but has damage to the rear screen. the side panels are good but as shown the osr has damage to the screen. all brackets are present. these alone are impossible to find in a full set.

The car needs a lot of work and only a few parts are missing. I spent 2 days piecing the car back together as it now shows in the photos. wings etc are only held together with a few bolts. rear body tub is only resting on the chassis and doors are screwed to that with the original hinges. front bulkhead is bolted to the chassis as is the radiator and bonnet etc. the doors have all fittings including side panel wingnuts. all clocks are there and the speedo is showing 75000 but cannot confirm this. etrol. mp. il. ucas light and warning light. ucas ignition light with no key and a damaged Bakelite lever. parts that are not fitted but shown in photos are running boards(rough but good for pattern). lucas altette horn. esmo mirror. riginal morris Bakelite tax disc holder. he other pork pie lucas light. miths heater pump to match the heater fitted(also smiths). trafficator column switch with horn and dip beam button/levers. front wing supports x2. edal metal panel. pare side fram under door. lloy trims x4. ront brake drums. spare bonnet catches x2. tyre pump.

The engine turns over but internal condition is unknown. ssume it will need a rebuild. comes with dynamo. tarter. u carburettor and manifolds. lutch. ast water pipe and the rare air silencer and neck in solid condition(some dents)

The windscreen is very good for age with minor pitting in places. has a makers name of 'AUSTER BIRMINGHAM' at the bottom frame. lucas wiper motor with all fittings as shown.

Both lucas headlights and sidelights. headlights are good. sidelight needs attention. the grill is the brass version and I have had these polished in the past and they look amazing when done.

Under the bonnet there are the original lucas voltage regulator. v su pressure pump. use box. peedo cable. hoke cable and start cable. hrottle linkage and pedal. radiator looks in good condition for age with cap.

Gearbox spins freely and smooth. rop and diff also spin and feel smooth.

All the brake shoes. ylinders and pipes copper pipes are there. there are no flexi brake pipes. aster cylinders is there also. fuel tanks is solid and has been painted black.

Leather front seats and non leather rears will all need work but frame work is good.

Chassis is superb with no rot or rust anywhere and looks to have been shot blasted and then painted black but some time ago. the handbrake tunnel and lever is missing but linkage and cables are present.

Sorry but no tyres as shown but all wheels are very good and solid. all hubcaps but 1 center bolt missing.

original number plates as shown.

These are becoming very popular and sought after and when fully restored can be worth up to 10k if done right. The good thing with this car is the low owners and that it is near complete

If you require more photos then please text or phone to provide your email address. to view please call me on 07585829547. car is located at my storage yard in Wokingham Berkshire RG40 postcode.

Now the boring bit.

Paypal deposit to be paid at the end of auction and full amount in cash or cleared funds(not paypal) before release. collection to be made before the end of November. can deliver at extra cost but only up to 100 miles at £1. 50 per mile one way.

Please no tyre kickers(if there where tyres fitted)only genuine buyers need apply for a viewing.

This would make a very worthwhile project other the winter months with good opportunity for investment. If the car does not sell then I will place in storage until I get time to restore myself.

Advertised elsewhere and can be removed before the sale ends. Happy bidding
