1987 SUTPHEN FIRE ENGINE/PUMPER 8V-71 DETROIT DIESEL

Up for auction is a 1987 Sutphen Deluge Fire Engine. This pumper is currently in service. but will be pulled out of service upon a completed transaction.  
This rig is powered by a Detroit Diesel 8V-71 motor (270 HP). It sounds like a fire engine should. Badass. It has an Allison automatic transmission and it shifts smoothly w/o any complications. The rig has a Jacobs engine brake (Jake Brake) and a power inverter for electrical appliances. Rig has two large flood lights for night ops.  
Cab has a leather interior and seats five (5) firefighters. Driver seat is air ride equipped. Air horn is pull cord activated and Q siren button is on the floor. There is a map light for the officer and a map book compartment. There is a back up camera installed on this rig with monitor mounted in the cab.
This pumper has a Hale pump (Last certified in 2013). which is powerful. This drafts from the Ohio River with no problem. The pump has a 1500 gmp capacity and it is fed by a 750 gallon booster tank (Steel). The rig is pre-piped for a duluge / deck gun. but does not include a monitor in the sale. It also has a booster real for trash fires and simple jobs. There are three speed or cross lays for attack lines. The hose bed has one 2. 5 in discharge and will hold roughly 2. 00 ft. of LDH (4 in).  
The fire body is aluminum and includes two deep compartments. two high side compartments. an engineer's compartment. an extinguisher/tool compartment. a compartment for fittings. and a large transverse compartment accessible from either side of the rig or from the rear. There is a mount for ground ladders. a mount for hard tubes. and a mount for a high rise pack.
The engine is in good. working order. There are two small rust spots (one on each side of the rig) in the area of the front wheel wells. This is common for a rig of this age and is easily fixed. The engine has three SCBA seats. The rear two seats are open air jump seats with man saver bars. The engine has a Federal PA 300 siren. a Federal Q siren. and a full compliment of warning lights (only included if sold to another fire agency PER EBAY RULES).  The rig has On-Spot auto chains. which will provide traction in up to 6 inches of snow. This engine is a strong work horse and is ready to be put in service ASAP.
