Hello you are looking at a 1980 Triumph TR7 Convertible which has been in my family since new and I have owned for over ten years. Please read carefully as I want the buyer to know exactly what they are getting.

This car is in quite decent running shape and aesthetically pleasing. If your into "originality" it may not be completely for you as Im an aerospace welder and fabricator who spent much time modifying and creating new parts for my own pleasure. I take great pride in my work so I hope someone will appreciate it all.

The engine was mostly rebuilt  a year ago: new head gasket. front and rear seals. timing chain and tensioner. water pump. intake gasket and rebuilt alternator.

The dual zenith Stromberg 175 Carbs have been completely rebuilt this winter and will be installed during this auction to be ready for this spring cruising.

The 321 Stainless steel coolant tank. wiper motor mount. ignition box mount. alternator bracket. throttle cable mount. and air filter housings I made myself.

The aluminum radiator is the biggest that can fit the engine bay and mounted with an electric fan controlled by a manual switch to eliminate any fears of over heating.

Crane cams ignition box is about two year old aswell as the distributor and wires.

The steel header I fabricated and connects to a brand new Monza exhaust system.

THE ENTIRE BRAKING SYSTEM IS BRAND NEW!   This includes the front calipers. rotors. pads. rear drum shoes and hardware. ALL brake lines and hoses. Now the original brake booster always had problems and I could never find a new one or care to pay $200 for it when I did see one. so this car is fitted with two brand new  non-power Wilwood brake masters. One to the front brakes and one to a pressure adjustment valve and then to the rear wheels.

I haven't rebuilt the 5 Speed gearbox but I haven't had any problems yet ( there is new fluid though)

All exterior lights and headlight motors work great

Moving on to the interior. my father had some fun re-upholstering the old vinyl with new black and tan seats and door panels to compliment the exterior color.

Some work is still needed inside the car. The center console and switchboard I made with some carbon fiber I had leftover from another project.    The speedometer cable broke about three months ago so the mileage is not exact but I haven't driven it more than 50 miles since then ( its been a bad winter here ) Shes been garaged. Dash lights also haven't worked and I haven't looked into it much yet. There is a slight mark on drivers seat (shown in pictures) where I dropped a soldering iron quickly. The Pioneer deck works sometimes and sometimes not. im assuming its a connection problem somewhere. Pioneer speakers are about a year old.

Original carpet is still in great shape and everything is very clean overall.

Stainless steel pedals I also fabricated.

The candy red paint on the car is actually a Corvette color I saw and liked. I played around a bit with spraying on helmets and things but this was the first full car paint job Im proud to say I completed myself. With two coats of red and two strong coats of clear coat I think its a pretty good paint job and fits the car perfectly. There are one or two very minor dings and a tiny chip on the quarter from moving stuff around it in the garage.

The original glass and chrome are in great shape. the rubber bumpers are original too. the front has a decent chunk in the center from a small utility trailer in my driveway rolled into her.

Ive re-undercoated most the bottom and driver side floor panel was replaced about a year ago. theres no other crazy signs of rust underneath.

In the trunk I decided to have some fun. I never had a spare tire for the car so for aesthetic purposes I decided to make a stainless steel extension of the fuel tank to extend into the truck. The original fuel tank was sandblasted and re painted aswell as fitted with a new sending unit.

The now shorter wheel well I turned into a little storage area and refinished the trunk in a nice black headliner material . The  battery was moved to the trunk in a custom aluminum mount. The battery has been sitting a long time and may need replacing soon. The fuel tank pinstriping I also did myself and was clear coated.

Convertible top was replaced this past summer

Rims are in nice shape and tires have plenty of tread.

Think that just about wraps it up. thank you for looking and I hope this becomes someone fun new toy

I have some spare parts laying around ill box up by auctions end to go with her.

Im open to offers aswell so feel free to contact me with offers or questions.

Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping and im more than happy to work with transporter.

Thank you !

How do you know when to manually turn on the radiator fan? Is there also an aftermarket temperature gauge?
Cool build and I like the clash reference!
