Chrysler : Other Traveler

This is a very rare 1950 Chrysler Traveler. Chrysler introduced this car as an alternative to the station wagon which was consider a business vehicle and not a family unit.  There were 900 of them made for one year only as the idea did not produce a lot of demand. Today there are 3 know driving example left.  
The Condition of the car is as follows:The motor was completely rebuilt in 2002. Clutch. brakes. wheel bearings. master cylinder and hoses all have been rebuilt or replaced. Roof Rack is original and in excellent condition. There is absolutely no rust on this. The under side is clean and detailed.  The interior is all original and with the exception of the front seat bottom all in excellent shape. The car even has the original in car spare tire cover and strap. Go find one of those. The front seat bottom has rips in it but has period cover on it. SMS Fabrics does have the correct material. The door panels are almost perfect. The rear seat fold down and the carpet covering is excellent. Dash is beautiful and the steering wheel has been redone. There are 2 small rips in the headliner but there is no reason to do anything with them as it is the original material and look good. Chrome is good with a few pits. Paint is ok. There was a repaint done. not sure when and it looks as if someone tried to buff out but did not do so well. It is presentable. see pics. I would not redo but I could see reason to. The car has a new set of Diamond Back Classic Radial wide whites which look good and ride even better. The car does have a new aluminum radiator that has been painted and fits well. I do have the old radiator and it will be included with the sale. The doors will need new weather stripping and I do have the correct material for all for doors to be included. The car runs and drive extremely well. it shifts as it should with the Tip Toe 3 speed trans and does function as the automatic that will shift up and down without the clutch.  The car will cruise at highway speeds without any problems.  All the lights work including backup. brakes. blinkers and even the parking brake light works. I have a file of documentation on the work done by the previous owners which includes the motor rebuild. brakes. nbsp;basically everything done to the car since 2002.

I have set a reasonable reserve on this car. I hate to sell it but I have no room. You just don't see these come up for sale. For the person that buys this car you will be the only one at the car show with one.
I have a clean transferable New York registration and bill of sale. New York does not issue titles but uses the registration as one.
Payment to be a $ 500. 00 non refundable deposit at the end of the auction and the balance by wire transfer or cash in hand upon pick.  I will not accept a bank check of any kind. No exceptions.
Shipping is as usual by the buyer but I will help as I can within reason.
