This car is the result of a 20 year restoration that never reached completion. The restorer of this car. who has recently passed away. owned a professional body and restoration shop in San Jose for many years. When he retired in the late 80's he moved to rural Oregon and began doing restorations for customers at his home. This car has been at his shop for most of this time. the actual owner of the vehicle had fallen on hard times and bad health and was unable to financed its completion. The owner is now releasing his interest in the project. This leaves the project to me and the widow of the restorer to find a new owner to complete it. This car has a clear title and the owner wishes to have the car sold and some of the proceeds will go to the widow of the late restorer. I have some experience with MG's and Triumphs. but my knowledge of the Jags is limited. I have always admired the E type Coupe and would love to take on this project. but I have other projects pending at this time. I will provide all the information I have on the car as well as lots of current and progress pictures. I am open to questions and request for additional pictures.

In my opinion. this car is complete and ready for reassembly with the exception of paint. The painting process was started but needs to be redone. The bonnet was never painted and is in primer. the body was painted in a single stage paint but there is some orange peal and light spots. To get a good match on paint for the bonnet. I would re-shot the whole car in a high quality 2 stage paint to make this a beautiful show car.

I would request that the buyer show up in person to pick up this car to ensure we get all the parts required for its completion.

BODY- All rust repair has been professionally completed as well as final body work. as I said earlier the restorer was a professional body shop owner.

ENGINE- Engine is the original 4. 2 litre in-line six; it was professionally rebuilt. The records of this are available. The motor has been sealed and stored inside with the car. I have not located the carburetors at this time but I am sure they are complete and rebuilt. This model had the Zenith-Stromberg carburetors.

TRANSMISSION- Rebuilt and ready for service. Documentation will be available for this also.

DRIVETRAIN- Installed and restored. pictures show the condition.

BRAKES- All rebuilt and ready to go. I don't believe hydraulic fluid has been added to the system yet.

INTERIOR- All interior has been reupholstered in quality beige leather from a vintage jaguar supplier (see pictures). All gauges were disassembled and restored. There should also be a complete carpet set with the interior. All interior has been stored in the attic of the shop. I have only brought the seats down at this time for current pictures.
