Gorgeous 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000
Rare opportunity to acquire a well-maintained. sorted GTV that's ready for active use.  A car of this quality does not come up on eBay very often.
The mid-70's GTV offers the 60's classic-style body design. while having more advanced mechanicals. displacement and safety features.

Metallic light gray (silver) over Wild Boar Tex saddle interior.   Car was previously in California. and prior owner brought to NY for a short period and I bought it from NY.

In my humble opinion. Silver is the best color because it accentuates the lines of the car. as you can see in the pics.  The GTV is a car that almost any serious collector or gearhead has had in his/her collection at one point in their lives.  It is a classic and should continue to appreciate as the Alfa Romeo brand comes back into the U. S. and name awareness goes up again (when BMW brought the Mini brand back. the vintage Mini's went up dramatically).
Car had the head redone with euro cams. newer exhaust. upgraded suspension. cromodora Daytona wheels.   Engine starts and runs smooth with no smoke and no leaks.   Transmission shifts smoothly with no second gear synchro issues.

This GTV has a very sexy exhaust note like a junior Ferrari.  It will make you smile for sure.
In terms of quality. this car is a very clean. correct example in superb driver condition.  Could be made into a concours show car with some elbow grease and relatively little effort.  This is a car that you can drive from the day you receive it and is good shape and reliable to be a daily driver if you so chose.  This car is NOT a project car. it is in very good condition.  You will spend much more time driving the heck out of this car than you will servicing it - which is not the case with the less expensive 'project car' Alfa spiders and GTVs that are out there for sale.  Also. this is not a fragile antique that you would fear letting your spouse/friend/teenager drive.  It's a solid classic in every sense.  I've owned this car for a couple years.  It has been wonderful. but now have some other Italian cars in the stable that I need to make room for.
If you like attention. then this car will provide you LOTS of it.   The car turns heads and elicits great compliments wherever it goes. <<<--for me this has happened literally every time I drive it.
More about this car:

Car has been fully serviced by Italian-owned father-son mechanics with 70+ years of Alfa Romeo-specific experience.  Upon purchase I had a detail inspection performed by them and everything squared away.  No known accidents.  Body/frame are straight. Mechanicals have no known needs.  Car has no known rust issues. Had recent oil change/tune up.
All gauges brought into working order. as well as all dash lights and exterior lights.
*WORKING Factory Air Conditioning. Had recharge.
Other nice additions:
- Red IAP Springs - Dramatically improved handling and cornering. - ANSA sport exhaust (amazing sound!)- Had door hinges reinforced to prevent sagging. doors align and close well. - Yellow Euro-style fog lights- Cromodoro Daytona Wheels (similar to Ferrari)- Beefy Goodyear Eagle tires- Alpine amplifier and good sounding speakers.  Car has older Sony stereo.  If you wanted to make interior look more stock. I'd recommend swapping it out with a retro looking radio from Retro Sound to get an authentic Becker-type look. -Upgraded heavy duty battery located in trunk above rear wheel (where it should be!)-Full sized spare. -Owner's manual and vintage GTV advertising materials included in sale.
Car drives straight as an arrow.  I had alignment done when I added the IAP Springs.  Handles wonderfully.
Clutch/transmission in very good condition. all gears shift nicely.
You are welcome to inspect the vehicle PRIOR TO BIDDING.  If you are serious and want to discuss car. email me your telephone number and a time to call you and I will give you more details on the car.
Other things:  The paint is good condition. shiny (I don't know when it was last repainted. but it's been well cared for).  *There are a few road chips. but have been touched up and not noticeable unless looking for them.  Front seats upholstery is in fair-good condition. The driver's seat bolster has some wear and about a 6 inch crack as you can see from the picture.  Never bothered me. but if you want to make perfect. IAP has a relatively inexpensive reupholstery kit made for this car.  The back seats were reupholstered and are in very good condition.  IAP sells a reupholstery kit specifically for this car and it is inexpensive to redo the fronts if you wanted to. however they are totally livable as-is.
The market for the early 70s GTV's is between about $15. 00 for a car with real needs to $38. 00++ for a show queen (hopefully you saw the GTV Tim Allen was selling. that was $40k+).  I've priced this low to get things kicked off. but hopefully you guys bid this up to it's rightful amount.  In an ideal world (and if I was single and had unlimited parking for my autos). I would probably have kept this car forever.
WITH ALL DUE RESPECT. I WILL NOT ENTERTAIN ANY OFFERS BELOW MINIMUM BID PRICE.  If you want to skip the auction. make me an offer (see prior sentence however - you'll need to make a substantial offer to make it feasible to end auction early. )
I am a professional and a reliable e-Bayer.  I have bought and sold many vehicles on eBay. including BMW. Audi. Porsche and Vespas.  I can help you to arrange shipping. but eBay has good resources for that too.   I have never found shipping to be a hassle when I've bought and sold autos on eBay. Mileage may increase very slightly prior to auction end due.   This GTV is sold in its AS-IS condition with no warranties.
Within 48 hours of purchase. $500 non-refundable deposit must be paid.  You can either send a wire or we do through Paypal.  This deposit is non-refundable.  Car must be paid in full within 7 days following close of auction.  If Deposit not received within 48 hours or car not fully paid within 7 days. then I reserve the right to sell to next highest bidder and retain the $500 deposit as liquidated damages because actual damages cannot be adequately calculated.  Ok. enough of the legal stuff -- THANKS FOR LOOKING - GOOD LUCK TO ALL! Hurry and bid before I talk myself out of selling it.
