1972 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, Tax Exempt, No reserve! for sale

Originally built in 1972 my stunning haze blue Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Mk1 spent the first four years of its life abroad. Purchased by a wealthy hotelier for the sum of £9. 20 the Rolls came back to Britain in 1976. hence the ‘P' registration. The log book states that it is classed as a historic vehicle so no road tax is payable.

As you can see from the photos the bodywork is in good condition having received a good quality repaint at some stage of its life. The brightwork is also very respectable although. being picky. there is some pitting to the top left side of the front bumper and a couple of light marks to the left side of the rear bumper. Interior wise. she is also a nice place to be with no tears or rips to the special order upholstery. she also retains her original 8 track tape player. tucked away in the glove box! The bottom of the driver's side door card is a little worn and would be the next thing on my list if I were to keep her.

On the move she is amazingly easy to drive with very light power steering and a very smooth auto gearbox. She gets admiring glances wherever she goes.

The only reason for sale is due to unexpected loss of storage. sadly she is just a little too long for the drive. otherwise I would be keeping her as she is bound to appreciate in value! At no reserve. taxed and MOT'd the start price represents great value.

Plus points:

Good bodywork. Drives smoothly with good gear changes. Copies of original sales receipt and build sheets. Good leather interior / headlining. Still retains original optional extras. Original special order colour. No road tax payable. Low start price for a Rolls that's not a basket case. HPI clear.

Room for improvement:

Door capping could do with re polishing. Speedo not always accurate (£75 replacement currently on Ebay). Slow electric windows. central locking can be temperamental. Coolant light occasionally illuminates although level is correct.
