MotoeXotica Classic Cars presents the 1968 GMC Suburban used in the 2005 remake of “The Amityville Horror. ” This automobile has found its way into our showroom. and even though it's from a horror movie. it runs beautifully and would make a great addition to any movie buff's collection or car collector's bounty.

The second generation of C/K (seventh overall) Suburbans are recognized by their having only a single driver's side door and two passenger-side doors. For the first time in the Suburban's lifespan. a three-quarter ton version was available. This series would also be the last to offer C-10 and C-20 panel truck models for commercial purposes. the last year being 1970.

This is the same Suburban used by Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George in the remake of the horror movie “The Amityville Horror” released in 2005. The fictitious Lutz Construction Company decals still adorn this vehicle. though they are a bit worn. The exterior is Cordovan Maroon Poly and will be recognized by anyone who has seen the movie. We will note that aging of paint was applied to make this movie prop appear more weathered. and the fuel gauge is currently inoperable.

Under the hood. this Suburban has some power. A 396-CID V8 engine helps this SUV accomplish its tasks. The engine is mated with a four-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission.
