Camaro Convertible Pro-Touring / Resto-mod for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.5) based on 441 votes

I am offering my 1969 Camaro convertible for sale.   With an extensive pro-touring resto-mod conversion completed. the car is not only a gorgeous ride. but it also drives and performs fantastically.   My goal with the build was to tastefully enhance the existing great looks of the 69 Camaro. while improving the drive-feel and performance of a classic.   We hit the mark in my view.   Please note some of the particulars below:

Exterior:

As you can see from the pictures. the black exterior with silver stripes makes for a great looking combination on a first generation Camaro. and it sets the tone for the type of build we set out to achieve.   The paint is in good condition (basically new) and the upgraded cloth-look top with glass rear window adds to the pro-touring / resto-mod theme.

 Engine and Drivetrain:

The Camaro is not short on muscle thanks to a lot of cubic inches in a well-built power plant.   The result is plenty of ‘go' to match the ‘show' and an awesome big block rumble for the ear.   Note the following:

540 cubic inch big block with a dyno proven 630hp and 674ftlbs of torque Dart block and heads Eagle rotating assembly with JE pistons and ¼ inch long I-beam rods Comp cams hydraulic roller with S. S. roller rockers MSD ignition Holley double pumper 800cfm carburetor Aeromotive fuel pump with anodized micro fuel filters Headers with 3 inch exhaust and electric cut-outs (for off-road use. of course J) Gel battery relocated to trunk Tremec 5-speed transmission (. 64 overdrive) with Hurst shifter and RAM clutch 3. 42 rear gear for 70mph cruising at 2000 rpms

 Brakes. Suspension . teering:

Four wheel disc brakes from CPP. 13” fronts with 12” rear. and properly matched CPP master cylinder. (I've been very happy with this setup. as they feel. look. and perform great. ) Full Hotchkis suspension package in front and rear. which includes springs. sway bars. shocks. tubular control arms. etc…  The components in their package are properly matched with each other to provide excellent performance and ride-quality. Lowered stance but not overdone Frame connectors to handle the extra power and torque New 14:1 steering box was installed resulting in a much improved feel and nice responsiveness.

 Wheels and Tires:

The Camaro is riding on 18” Billet Specialties Vintec wheels with BF Goodrich G-Force Z-rated tires.   Up front are 245/40s with 295/35s in the rear.   They have little tread-wear and do not scrub the fenders.

 Interior:

My approach to the interior was to keep it relatively stock but with a few driver-comfort and functional upgrades.   After first putting down a layer of Dynomat sound-deadening material throughout. we replaced the seats. both front and rear. with those from a late model Audi A4.   The seats are very comfortable. and as you can see from the pictures. they look fantastic in the car as well.   We kept the dash clean and went with a new Autometer gauge package in place of stock.   A better feeling and looking steering wheel was added. and the emergency brake was relocated to be within the center console.

It goes without saying that a tremendous amount of time. money. and effort has gone into this Camaro.   The car was built as a fun weekend car that looks. drives. and sounds great.   It's an attention getter without being overly flamboyant and obnoxious.   Given the market for pro-touring Camaros and the components of this car. I believe someone will be getting a good deal when purchasing mine as it is priced.

The car is located in Atlanta. Georgia. and may be listed for sale in other locations as well.   Please email me if you have any further questions about the car.

I would like to see some close up pictures of the paint if the car is still available. I live in Charlotte and might want to drive down to take a look.
