SELLER REMARKS

Simple is good when it comes to building stealthy street machines. This cool 1967 Camaro convertible fits the bill perfectly. with a subtle Grenada Gold paint job. a thumping 396 under the hood. and a handsome interior that's a welcome relief from basic black.

It seems like every Camaro is Hugger Orange. but if you're looking for something a little more sophisticated and a little less flashy. this gorgeous Grenada Gold ragtop is the smart choice. But subtle doesn't mean boring. because the timeless Camaro shape is still one of the finest of the muscle car era. and the execution on the bodywork is very well done. This car is finished in correct Code G Grenada Gold. which accounted for about 11% of Camaro production. but when was the last time you saw one? If you're a fan of the unusual. this car certainly stands out in a very positive way. The stock hood with its chrome inserts has always been one of my favorite designs. and with just a simple black bumblebee stripe around the nose. this Camaro looks sleek and sophisticated. All the trim is either new or restored. with bright chrome bumpers that glitter against the gold finish. and polished stainless everywhere else. Proper 'Camaro' and 'SS' badges have been fitted. giving this one a very stock look to the untrained eye. But you can rest assured that nobody will overlook it on the street. not with that rumbling 396 under the hood.

The interior is also quite stock. which means handsome gold buckets with recent seat covers. correct carpets. and a standard instrument panel with fully functional gauges. The trim tag says this one was originally black inside. which is fine. but the beautiful gold interior. like the bodywork. makes for a striking bit of muscle. don't you think? The color change also means that everything inside is brand new and looks like a million bucks. The slick-shifting Hurst 4-speed pokes out of the center console. looking a bit out of place in such a sophisticated place. but in a good way if you know what I mean. There's a newer AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit in the dash that sounds good top up or top down and color-matched floor mats keep things tidy. The black power convertible top is as specified on the cowl tag and stashes neatly under a matching gold boot that's so new it still has the wrinkles from the box. Open the trunk and you'll find a new reproduction mat that fits better than most. a full-sized spare tire. and a matching jack assembly.

If there was any question about this car's intentions. they vanish when you open the hood and see the brightly detailed big block V8. Displacing 396 cubic inches and making a claimed 325 horsepower. it was a very threatening street motor in the 1960s. Correct details include chrome bits like the valve covers and air cleaner. a high-rise intake manifold. a 4-barrel carburetor. and a throaty dual exhaust system. all of which conspire to eke even more power out of the hot 396. but hot doesn't mean overheating. thanks to a massive radiator up front. The undercarriage obviously got a thorough going-over during the restoration. so it's ultra clean today. and it sits right on handsome Rally wheels with correct-looking and great-handling 205/75/14 redline radials.

If you're a fan of the unusual like we are. this Camaro is sure to stand out in a very big crowd. Call today!
