MGA Roadster car fitted with Rover V8 for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 653 votes
MGA V8 Roadster with a Rover 3500 V8 engine and SDi 5 Speed manual gearbox. MGB V8 brakes (Front Disc & Rear Drum) and Suspension systems. New clutch. clutch slave cylinder. nbsp;High lift Cams. Holley Carbs and manifolds. American V8 electric fan. firewall and Mallory electronic ignition all fitted by an MG specialist 3 years ago at a cost of over £3500. plus moving the oil coolers and sorting the cooling problem. nbsp;they also carried out a full safety check on the car and MOT at the time. unfortunately the car has covered less than 300 miles since as I haven't been able to get out in her. so has just been laid up in my garage. The car has an aluminum floor rather than the original wooden floor and has been made to look like an American Racing MGA with racing grille and light covers. purchased from the USA. This car has never been on a track and in the 4 years I've owned it. has just pottered around the Kent lanes. It had new carpets. new hood. new tonneau cover and a cream leather interior fitted just prior to me purchasing it. It also comes with a fitted storage cover. I purchased new window frames and perplex for it which are still in the box. unopened and also have the originals as well. This is a real fun Sunday car and a real head turner and talking point. The only items which are not working are the Odometer which has never worked and I have never gotten round to sending it away for a repair. I would recommend viewing which can be agreed by appointment. but no time wasters. you will need to be bidding to be taken seriously. This is a fun car not a show car and in truth needs the final TLC and time to truly shine which I just do not have. I do have extra pictures which can be sent.   I have already stated she hasn't covered many miles lately which has ment that she doesn't idle properly and my local garage wouldn't touch the Holley carbs so does need to have a tune up (in short if you let the rev's drop she stalls) she revs freely but just will not idle and appears to be running very rich; as I haven't been able to sort this I have lowered the reseve price to reflect. this was originally why I removed from the auction. but I have neither the time or the inclination to sort at present . This car no longer requires an MOT. Road Tax is free and costs only £125 a year to insure. Bankers Drafts and Cheques will need to clear prior to collection.  Thanks and good luck with your bidding.

Previous questions & comments seem to be unanswered. Is this car still for sale; if so I would like to come to see it.

from Marcus Cumberland, dated 17 may 2015
Can you tell me a little more about the history of the car, where and when did the conversion take place. However successful the conversion was and the condition of the mechanics and chassis?

Have you grafted the wings into the bodywork?

from Marcus, dated 09 june 2014
Is this still available?

from Stewart Roussel, dated 22 march 2014
What sort of a price are you looking for. I can't believe the internet price advertised is correct. I know modified MGA's are seen as less valuable than fully restored originals, but you must have spend considerably more than the 11,000 advertised amount on
