I am going to attempt to describe to everyone that looks at this listing an incredible piece of British History. and as the members of the Tucson. AZ. British Car Club said it is. “IT IS A TIME CAPSULE”.

I am the third owner of this car. purchased it June 2013 after a 2 year search of the internet for a Triumph TR7 which would bring back the joy I had when I bought my first sports car. a 1976 Triumph TR7. Victory Edition in Inca Yellow. with black vinyl roof and white spoker wheels.   I drove it every day while I lived in Chicago and restored it twice because of the salt conditions in the winter.   Enough of the good old days.

This car is all original inside and out.   It has its original paint on the exterior and original interior.   The car has no rust except of a couple of areas on the headlight buckets (as shown in the pictures).   The car has never been in an accident and/or restored.   This is a 35 year old survivor.

EXTERIOR:

The front and rear bumpers are in excellent shape and not dried out and dull as most cars this age.

The exterior paint is all original and still has a great shine.

The tape pin striping has peeled away in some areas and needs to be replaced.

The convertible top is original as is the cover that goes over it when the top is down. they both are in great condition.

The windshield is new. replaced by the second owner two years ago.

The tan paint strip around the wheel wells. rocker and rear was done by the dealer prior to the first owner taking delivery.   There is an area on the passenger rear wheel which looks like rust; this area is where the paint has peeled off.   I have a pint can of this original paint as it came with the car.

There were several door dings in the sides and I have had the major ones removed.   There are still a few minor dings which the light has to be just right to see them.

The American Racing Rims were installed by the first owner.   I have the original hub caps which came with the car and can be seen in the pictures.

The tires have a lot of wear left in them

The major part of the pictures show the car without the Triumph badging. I have added them back in Gold as seen in some pictures.

As noted above the only rust I can find is on the headlight buckets.

INTERIOR:

The interior again is all original. the original cloth seats. the original carpet. the original door panels. the original dash. etc. . etc.

All of the gauges work as well as does all the switches.   The clock works. but doesn't keep the best of time.

All the dash lights work as they should; the door courtesy lights do not function when the doors are opened thought. as well as the seat belt buzzer if belts are not buckled. looks like wiring has been disconnected.

The horn works. the directional work. the fresh air fan works at all 3 speeds. the car has a great heater

The speedo and tach work. the odometer works as well as the trip.

The windows can be a challenge at times going up and down. not sure what the issue is. seem to bind about three quarters of the way up.

The car comes with the original owner's manual. maintenance manual. radio manual (the radio is the original and works great).

DRIVETRAN AND SUSPENSION:

The engine at speed runs great and has a lot of pep.   The carbs need to be balanced. (when I got the car the owner had the idle set at almost 2. 00 rpm and I have adjusted it down to about 1. 00 and at idle it runs a little rough at times).   The engine does drip a little oil like most of these older cars.

I have replaced the intake hose from the manifold to the carb air cleaner. original rusted out from age.

I replaced the air filter with a K&N air filter.

The transmission shifts smoothly. a little stiff when it is cold. but after driving for a few miles it is much easier. especially first to second.

I had a mechanic look at the suspension and he said the ball joints and tie rod ends should be replaced. I have new ones. but not installed. they come with the car.   He indicated to me the front and rear suspension shocks were okay.

I have replaced the steering column bushing at the firewall as the original was destroyed from age.

The second owner also had the radiator replaced and hoses.

The second owner also had the clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder replaced.

TRUNK:

The car comes with the original spare tire. spare tire jack and blue bag.

The original fiber board cover over the spare tire is there and not warped. amazing.

The vinyl trunk floor mat and back wall mat are in place also.

There is a light cotton car cover that comes with the car.

There is also a bra for the front which from my understanding has never been installed.

MISCELLANEOUS:

The car also comes with the original window sticker as well as the dealer car order indicating items included at no additional cost.   This type of paper work is priceless.

The car is licensed and registered in AZ as a Classic therefore does not require emission test. not sure if car would pass in CA.

In summary. this is a one of a kind car and the new owner will not be disappointed. I have had it in several major car shows here in Tucson and it has received a first place award in its class 90% of the time.

Bid with confidence. the car is sold without a warranty. as is. and no returns. GOOD LUCK
