Hey guys and gals. what we have here is a well on it's way 1953 Studebaker C Coupe. Finish it as a Hot Rod. Rat Rod. Salt Flats racer. whatever you want! I started this with the same intent but recent surgery and life's changes have put that on the back burner for who knows how long. The body and frame were media blasted. rust repaired and put in a heavy coat of primer. Frame was reinforced and additional cross braces added for the installation of a completely fresh (carburetor to starter) 454 BBC built by Exton performance near Philadelphia. Comp cams mild performance cam. Mallory distributor. Sanderson cast iron headers. brass works water pump. Edelbrock intake. etc. The trans is a 700r4 pro built by Sepank racing transmissions. 2600 stall converter with lockup controlled by a dash switch. A narrowed 9 inch Ford rear with new Richmond 3. 55 gears and posi bring up the back end. I am just going to list the major highlights now and if there are any questions you can fire away and I will do my best to answer. Here we go: Complete new Magnaflow exhaust. custom Griffin cross flow radiator w/ electric fan. custom aluminum radiator overflow (adds about 1 1/2 gallon capacity. never overheats)! Hawk dash with Dolphin gauges. auto sound custom radio. under dash completely set up for a/c. will need underhood done (compressor. condenser. and lines. These are all Vintage Air components). heat works great. autowire 22 harness. wiring finished. everything works as it should. new fuel lines and Holley electric fuel pump. new ABS electric power brakes and lines. mounted in the stock. under floor position. This keeps the firewall clear of boosters and man do they work nice!! The front suspension is Slick Street Stuff's complete kit. tubular control arms. urethane bushings. QA1 adjustable coil overs. braces. sway bar. flaming river rack and pinion. flaming river tilt column and joints. restored 69 Camaro steering wheel. B&M ratchet shifter. new interior door cards. cougar power bucket seats. four brand new 15" Coker classic wide white radials. nice Studebaker hub caps and a new set of Moon discs. lots of miscellaneous small parts. windshield moldings. window regulators rebuilt. window channels and felt seals new. etc. Wing windows are cracked but the rest of the glass is nice. This is a running driving car that you can use while you finish to your liking. unbelievable power from the 454 Chevrolet but easy to drive. There has been over 19K invested to this point but if you are reading this. you already know that! What can I say. we do it because we love it!! Here's the usual stuff. I reserve the right to sell elsewhere but I strive to not stop an auction once there are bids. I would like a $1000 deposit immediately and the balance paid within 7 days. I will assist in shipping but I won't pay for it. I will not let the car leave my shop until I have the cash in my hand. That means your check will be cashed and cleared before the car goes anywhere. You can pick up at any time and pay cash too! Wish I could finish this myself but. Good luck bidding. Oh. there is a clear title and NO RESERVE. last man standing is the new owner!!

Is this '53 Studebaker still for sale? Please advise. Thanks

from Mark Turnbull, dated 05 july 2014
Hi Jim, is your studebaker still for sale? If so can you send any photos of the underside, suspension, running gear etc. I live in Australia and my all time favorite car is the 53, I've recently imported a mustang but that is for resale. The baker will stay with me.
Cheers, Mark Turnbull
