Lotus Esprit JPS Commemorative No. 22. 1979.  Last owner since 1985.  This superb example has been the subject of a body off chassis restoration over a three years period from 2009 to 2012.  Masses of lists and receipts for new parts and intricate work done whilst the body was off the chassis. The chassis shot-blasted and repainted was fitted with new front and rear shock absorber.  New front and rear brake discs.  Overhauled brake callipers.  New copper brake lines and Aeroquip brake hoses.  All hoses replaced and new aluminium pipes fitted where necessary.  Masses of new nuts and bolts and new fittings. The Esprit has travelled just 64. 00 miles from new with MOT certificates going back to the Eighties.  Just 3. 00 miles have been covered since the restoration.   The body is original with beautiful paintwork and gold decals.   The seats and interior trim are the original black leather with the gold cloth inserts.  All original badges and steering wheel and instruments etc.  I have driven the car on an 80 mile trip and the refurbished gear-linkage makes for a very enjoyable drive indeed.  Lovely strong engine with good oil-pressure and spot-on temperature reading.  Even the speedo is unerringly accurate as compared with the sat-nav readings during the journey.  A superb Esprit in every respect and very rare in this condition.  A real joy to drive with a superb chassis and engine.   Fully serviced and MOT'd.
