Rare Black 1955 Packard Caribbean convertible project car with 2dr 400 hardtop for sale

This is a very rare and desirable 1955 Packard Caribbean convertible in Black. with a red leather interior.  I have been told by a Packard authority that there were only six of these cars made in black.   The car needs pretty much everything and has lots of lower body rust out.   I am offering with the convertible. a nice 1955 Packard 400 2 dr hardtop that has a rebuilt engine and a nice body.   It runs and drives but currently has no brakes.   The convertible was missing several parts such as the grille. bumpers and some other parts that can come off of the 400.   As these body styles are basically the same the 400 will also make an excellent donor of sheet metal for repairs on the convertible.  The 2 door hardtop Model 400 had the engine rebuilt for over $4. 00 and also had other repairs including re-cored radiator. rebuilt carburetor. and new shocks. All of the outside trim is currently off of the 400 but is included with the parts car.  As you know. 1955 Caribbean convertibles. nicely restored. bring top dollar when sold to collectors or at auction.   This is your chance to have a great classic Packard in the rarest color offered that year.  Questions call Ted at 440-478-6801.   Last picture is of a restored Black 1955 Caribbean convertible.   This is not the car I am selling but would be the car you could build with the two cars that I am offering.

 The finished car in pictures is actually a 1956 Caribbean.   I couldn't find any 1955 Black cars on line. so the rarity of this car is supported.

I have been advised that there are only 6 black Caribbean convertibles in the Packard registry.

while the car does not have the correct dual intake and two carburetors. I do have a source for those items. including the linkage.   I will provide whoever buys the car with the contact info for the source.   The engine is the original engine to this car. Also the car is standard trans with overdrive.   I couldn't correct that on the basic listing.

Hi, I found this old listing on line. Did the Caribbean sell? I am sure it did. In your ad you advise you can dual quad Packard parts. We are looking for a 55/56 Caribbean project car if you know of any others. We have a 53 Caribbean, 48 Custom 8 convertible, 55 400
And a few 48 Super 8 Convertibles. Any help in locating 55 / 56 Cars or parts would be appreciated.
Is that another Caribbean Convertible body outside?
