You are bidding on a 1959 Austin Healey BN4 100-6 project. This is a late BN4 so the interior is the same as a 3000 BT7. The car was being restored but the owner passed away before it was finished. The chassis is rust free with all original floors. The body panels are in very good condition with only 1 front fender needing a patch at the bottom rear and 1 rear fender need a patch in the dogleg area. the rocker panels are original. All other panels are rust free and very straight with no dents. The whole car has been primered in grey and followed;up with orange spot putty covering small imperfections and only needs a final sanding to be ready for paint. The body was off the car when I got it so I assembled the body with a minimum of bolts and screws to make it easier to ship. The chassis has been painted with some kind of brush on sealer but could be repainted body over the sealer. The frame rails are super straight and the front cross member only has minor dents in it. This is usually very badly dented from jacks. The S in the vin number tells me that this was originally a non-overdrive gearbox but it now has a rebuilt overdrive gearbox in the car. The engine has also been rebuilt but I have no paperwork to show what was done to the gearbox and engine. There is a box of leftover gearbox parts with a tag attached that says "leftover from transmission rebuild". The engine has new . 030 pistons that you can see through a spark plug hole and I did a compression test and all cylinders were in the 175-185 PSI range. The carburators have been rebuilt also but the lingage is still in a box and the gas lines are not hooked up. The front brakes have been converted from drum brakes to disc brakes from a 3000. The car is not drivable as a lot of parts and brakes are not hooked up. Wheels are 48 spoke and in good condition and there are 4 new tires mounted on them. Something fell on top of the radiator and bent in the top tank and this would have to be taken off and beat out and re-soldered back on to the radiator. The interior has fairly new leather seat covers but the front seats need new foam padding. A new Moss Motors carpet kit came with the car and I installed it loosely to make the interior look better. There are also new seat belts for all 4 seats installed. The top frame is good but the top and front wood bow with the latches is missing. The side curtains and brackets have been restored and they are in the original storage pouch. The steering box is tight and the trafficator is very nice. There is no exhaust system with the car. The car has a clean California title with license plates the expired in 2006THE CAR IS ADVERTIZED LOCALLY SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY IF IT SELLSfor more information call John at 1 541 933 2016SOLD AS IS WITH NO IMPLIED WARRANTYShipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

I am interested in this car. Is it still for sale? If yes, can you send some more pictures of the bodywork together with the price indication to my e-mail address? If I decide to buy the car I have to arrange transport.
best regards,
Herman Struijk
