Mk1 Ford Escort.

1972 K Registration with V5. 2 Door. 1100 Base model. restored and modified by Gartrac to a Group 1A with some Group 4 Modifications and parts. as below;

All new panels supplied by Ex-pressed Steel Panels Ltd. /span>

Front panel (round headlamp). standard Front wings.

Right and left hand half Inner wing sections.

Right and Left hand full length top plate and top reinforcement plates.

Slam panel.

Right and left hand front floor pans.

Right and left hand inner and outer sills.

Right and left hand rear low corners. wheel and tank wells.

Cross member section and rear panel.

Modification works carried out.

Ex works steel arches.

Double bulkhead with welded down lip and top suspension mount plates.

Large radiator cut-out and gusseted

Type 49 brackets throughout.

BDA Bulkhead gussets.

Chassis stitched welded along the full length.

Large gearbox tunnel.

Group 4 firewall. rear mounted fuel tank with high level filler.

Large diff tunnel. anti tramp brackets.

Group 4 rear shock turrets.

Full safety devices roll cage with door bars. dash bar. single diagonal. harness bar and fully tied in.

Driver and co driver seat mounting bars.

Finished in Ermine White with the big blue stripe in 2007 dry stored since.

Running Gear.

Gartrac strengthened forest. fixed platform struts. 220 lb -1 springs. Bilstein 300/70 inserts. roller top mounts. GRP4 alloy hubs and studs. big bearings. new M16's with vented discs and pads. World Cup Cross Member. adjustable track control arms. 2. 1 quick rack metric ends. Group 4 coupler. HD mounting rubbers and Twin Cam 21mm anti roll bar with 2 degree kit.   ( All New )

Rear solid disc's and second hand Granada/Sierra callipers. Currently mounted on a standard English axle 3. 7 diff. 5 leaf -1 inch retempered springs. Bilstein 270/60 shocks. 12 gallon alloy tank with high level filler. Anti tramp bars. Polly bushed throughout.

New spares with the car.

Cibie Oscars. hand brake cables (RS200) brake pads. brake pipes etc

Second hand spares with the car.

Two Mexico/RS front wings. I had them removed from the car prior to the works commencing. one original and one pattern. spare boot lid. 2 x standard steering racks. Salisbury axle with 3. 4 diff. 2 x standard rear leaf springs. standard prop shaft. steering column. 1 x standard cable pedal box. 1 x hydraulic clutch box. standard cross member. door glass ancillaries etc. locks handles etc. standard wiring loom. Weber twin 40's and inlet manifold. Hella halogen headlamps. several standard front indicators. four rear light clusters. RS alloy sump. stripped down 205 pinto and a complete 1. 6 pinto engine. 1x 2000e single rail 4 speed gearbox. 1x type 9 5 speed gearbox.


There are probably some other bits and pieces along with anything thing else I can find in the garage relating to the car.  I will also put in a 10 tonne porta power. used occasionally but still in the box. not brand new but only used to repair my race cars.

All sold as one. I will not be breaking the car for spares or selling any parts separately. I will let the auction run there is no buy it now price
