Bentley MKV1 1950 Manual Complete + running for restoration inc valuable number

We are a small family business and have been trading locally for the last 44 years. All our vehicles come direct from main dealers in part exchange for new models and are subsequently all fully HPI checked. We have been known to turn around upto 800 cars. light commercials and classic cars in a year. and here is such an example.
Here we have a piece of British motoring history and a great opportunity for someone who wants to own and restore a Bentley but does not have a huge budget. This would also be a great example for those of you who are interested in building a special or replica. It would be a good candidate either way as it appears to run well and has a sound chassis.
This Bentley was last on the road in approximately 1977. since then it has been in storage where the last owner obviously had some work done to the engine. infact the old pistons are in the boot. The water pump has also been rebuilt.
It does appear to be complete including its full set of wheeltrims. mascot. several keys of which seem to work and its original valve radio. It has a steel sliding sunroof fitted.  We have taken the carburettor float chamber tops off and drip fed it with petrol and it more or less starts straight away and holds good oil pressure. Although we are saying it runs and it engages all of its gears. we have only moved it up and down our premises as its brakes are not all that.
Body wise it has the usual fraying edges and the front wings are not very good at all and are only fitted loosely for transport purposes. there have been several quite good second hand wings on ebay recently which sold for  a couple of hundred pounds a pair.  
As mentioned before the chassis does appear to be sound with just a surface coating of dirt and rust.
Interior is all there. again it would want some work if you were going to use it. but it really depends on what you are going to do with the car.
Last and not least is the registration number which is MTU 7. We have been offered a substantial amount of money for it. but we feel as always that the number should stay with the car as part of its originality. We do have a V5 and it is registered with DVLA.  
There are 1 or 2 bills with it going back to the 70s and it makes you wince when you see service bills for £7. 50 and mots for £2. 10. oh yes those were the days.

I would respectfully ask that people follow ebay rules. that is to say please have the curtousy to only bid if you are in a position to fulfill the contract which you are entering once you have placed an auction bid. If there is someone who is lucky enough to win this car please be aware that all funds are to clear fully before the car is released.

To sum up. whether you are looking for one of these models to restore or you want to build a special. this is a great price range example. and as everyone knows at the moment it must be better than having money in the bank.
