1979 Lotus Elite. recently purchased from a deceased's estate. the previous owner had obviously spent lots of time and money restoring this car. unfortunately he never quite finished it. the engine and carbs have been fully re-built and from a quick look underneath its obvious that all the suspension etc has also been re-freshed. new stainless exhausts fitted.

The black leather interior is in very good original condition. the engine has been run and is fine.

There is some micro blistering on the bonnet and a couple of other places but overall it still looks very smart.

No sign of any previous accident damage and it looks very original

These early elites have been very much overlooked and undervalued in recent years. im sure that prices will climb steadily now as they have become very rare. lots have had their engines removed to fit in Lotus Sunbeam's etc. prices of early esprits in particular have rocketed recently.

This car has been off the road since 1995. we are selling it with no reserve. the reconditioned engine alone is worth good money but it would be a shame if that was removed. a must for any lotus collector.

It is sold as a restoration project but in our opinion there are only minor jobs to do to complete it. as far as I can see it is 100% complete.

We can deliver anywhere in the uk at extra cost. must be paid for within 5 days

The v5 could not be found but one has been applied for from dvla. this will be passed on to the winning bidder once received by us
