1964 Plymouth Sport Fury

426 Max Wedge

 

We are proud to offer this awesome 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury 426 Max Wedge.   The car has been incredibly well restored.   Tens of thousands were invested into its quality restoration. By VIN. the car is an original Sport Fury V8.   However. it likely started out in life as a small block.   Today it is a stunning tribute to early Mopar performance.   

 

The car has been totally restored.   While much of the restoration was done a few years ago. the car was completely repainted last year.   It is high quality paintwork in a custom deep purple metallic.   The car is like glass down the sides.   Most all of the chrome and trim is very good original or has been restored or rechromed.   To keep with its performance theme is has a lightweight fiberglass hood and front fenders.   It also has subframe connectors.   The underbody is immaculately clean and painted to body color.   It has upgraded all chrome 16" Magnum 500 wheels with new tires.

 

The interior has been restored to stock specifications.   It is immaculately clean with no rips. tears or cracks.   It has stock bucket seats and console with a cool Hurst shifter.   It has a few custom AutoMeter gauges tucked in the cluster.

 

The engine and compartment are show detailed.   It has a 1964 426 engine block with an early cross ram intake.   It has custom ceramic coated Hedman headers.   It runs and drives excellent.   Obviously it is very FAST!  The stock drum brakes have been upgraded with a dual reservoir master cylinder and Wilwood proportioning valve.

 

We have set a very realistic reserve but are open to an offer prior to the end of the auction.   Not looking for trades at this time.

Classic & Collectible Cars was established in 1982 in North Las Vegas by Larry Nicholl. Larry had recently retired after 22 years of military service in the US Air Force. Along with his four sons. he specialized in sale of classic Mustang parts. restoration and the sale of collector cars. This business grew and relocated to Las Vegas and became the most recognized and respected Mustang shop in Southern Nevada. In 1986. Larry sold the Mustang parts and restoration end of the business and began to focus primarily in the sales and appraising of all types of classic and special interest automobiles. He continued to operate in this facility for several years until its sale of the building in the mid 1990s. Michael Nicholl proposed to take over the business and resurrect the Classic & Collectible Cars name. The focus would be same – to buy. sell and appraise classic and special interest automobiles. At the time. the internet was an emerging marketplace. Michael saw the opportunity to begin to market and sell collector cars in a new way. With an established reputation. Classic & Collectible Cars grew quickly. and at its height occupied a 15. 00 square foot facility housing a 65 car inventory. In 2002. Larry purchased its current location on Sheridan Street. Today.
