From its earliest years. Cadillac aimed for precision
engineering and stylish luxury finishes. causing its cars to be
ranked amongst the finest in the United States. Cadillac was the
first volume manufacturer of a fully enclosed car in 1906 and
participated in the 1908 interchangeability test in the United
Kingdom and was awarded the Dewar Trophy for the most important
advancement of the year in the automobile industry. Consistently
leading the way in automotive developments. it is little surprise
that the Cadillac quickly became the aspirational car of choice in
the USA.
This stunning example has recently been the star of the popular
motoring show on The Discovery Channel. 'Dealers Wheels' staring
Edd China and Mike Brewer. The premise of the show is that Brewer
and China are on a mission to save repairable classic vehicles. by
repairing or otherwise improving an example of a particular make
and model to a budget. then selling it to a new owner. The subject
of an extensive rebuild then. this striking Cadillac has now been
re-painted in new pearlescent green and white paintwork with hand
painted pin-striping and gold leaf artwork. It sits on Ridetech air
suspension and new whitewall tyres. The interior has also been
restored with fresh trim in white with green alcantara headlining.
