Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this gorgeous 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible. This car looks great and is amazingly correct and original. The prices of all the 1959 and 1960 Cadillac's have skyrocketed in recent times. this is especially true for the convertible models. This Cadillac does need some work. but it is absolutely priced to sell and definitely one of the best deals for a 1960 convertible anywhere on the market right now. It is in the very attractive and desirable color combination of Olympic White over Black and White with a Black top. which is the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag. pictured below. This Cadillac rolled off the assembly line during the first week of July 1960 (07A) optioned as a 6267 Code "F" convertible with "E-Z Eye" glass. signal seeking radio. six was power front seat. leather upholstery. power windows. and Guide-Matic power headlight control. The low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car. but also the clear Ohio title. pictured below. showing the miles as "Actual. In 1960 Cadillac had been in business for 58 years and was committed to designing and producing the best automobile in the world.   1960 was the last year for the iconic big fins on the Cadillac. The styling of the 1960 Cadillac is considered is the most dramatic and sharpest. The tail lamps display a light show as the car is driven down the road at night. The 1960 Cadillac was built to impress and many enthusiasts prefer it over the more gaudy and ostentatious 1959 Cadillac.

Exterior

The Olympic White exterior is in very nice driver condition. The paint has a smooth finish. nice gloss. and deep shine. The chrome. stainless. and other bright work is also in good condition with no major rust or pitting overall. There are some blemishes and touch ups around the car that were too faint to show up in the photos. but nothing that really stands out from five to ten feet away. I am sure that the car has had some rust repair in the past in the typical areas. but there is nothing really coming through the paint. We have taken specific photos of the quarters. rockers. underside. and other areas most prone to rust. The convertible top is in nice shape with no holes. The power feature of the convertible top works as one can observe in the video. The top has not shrunken and fits the car well. The rear window is not brittle and has no yellowing. The convertible top soft boot is included. This Cadillac still retains its original hubcaps. which are in very good condition with no curb rash. The tires appear to have at least 80% tread left. As one can see in the photos the driver's front and driver's rear windows are cracked. This should be a simply repair for the future owner since this is just straight glass and not curved at all.

Interior

The Black and White interior in this Cadillac is in very respectable original condition. The front seats look good with no holes or split seams. In the back of the car the seat is completely original with some separations visible in the photos; the rear arm rests are in great shape with no cracking. The chrome. stainless. and other bright work on the dash. door panels. and inside the car is in very nice shape. The carpet is in decent condition with no rips and appears to be original. The door panels look great and the patterned trim is in great shape. The dash is in spectacular condition with no sun fading. cracks. or splits. The power seat motor runs in some directions. but does not completely work. The car still retains its original radio. which remarkably is still functional. Even the power antenna still works as one can see in the video. The vent windows open and close properly. which is a common problem on this era Cadillac.

The trunk is totally original and complete. It appears as if the car still has its original cardboard inserts on the side and original material on the forward. rear. and pan sections. We have also included photos with the trunk mat removed to show how solid and rust free the trunk is. This Cadillac still retains its spare tire. jack. jack handle/lug wrench. jack base. and bumper hook.

Mechanical

This Cadillac seems to be in good overall mechanical condition. but does need some brake work. The car starts right away every time. runs well. and idles well. Also. the engine compartment is beautifully clean and nicely detailed as one can see in the photos. There is no blue smoke when starting the car. We have not had the opportunity to take the car out on the open road due to the brake issue. Currently. it has enough brakes to move the car around the parking lot. but I would not drive it on the road. The car also needs some exhaust work. The horn works from both sides of the steering wheel as it should. the turn signals work. both indicators on top of the front fenders are functional. all exterior lights work. the fan blows on all speeds. and remarkably even the Autronic Eye still works. It was actually hard to get a photo of the brights working because the Autronic Eye was picking up the daylight and turning the brights off. There are some items on the car that do not work such as the wipers. We are not sure if the gauges work properly. All of the windows go up and down without issue except the right rear. which can be raised and lowered manually if need be. There may be other troubles with the car that I have possibly overlooked so I would suggest that the buyer inspect the car in person if possible. We really think that this car would be a very nice driver with just some brake work. These 1960 Cadillac's are an absolute please to drive. especially with top down on a nice day.

Overall Condition

 

This car is great looking. complete. and extraordinarily original and untouched. The 1959 and 1960 Cadillacs are highly prized and extremely collectible. The 1960 Cadillac turns head and gets A TON of attention everywhere it goes; people really love the Cadillac's with big fins. It also has one of the lowest asking prices anywhere on the market for a usable '59 or '60 Cadillac convertible. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a very rare car. Convertible Cadillacs make excellent cars to drive. One could enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than your purchase price. We. as always. would encourage you to take the time to view the car in person if possible. We have nothing to hide. that is why we include so many photos.
