MGB V8 PROJECT for sale

Hi . his is an auction of my MGB V8  project.  I have spent the last three years on this project. many man hours  and a lot of money has been spent.

Starting with the engine  - 3. 9 litre.   It has been completely rebuilt with new pistons . ings . ast piper road cam and followers . ew rockers and shafts and head has been reworked. The crank has been polished with  new bearings fitted etc. The engine was built by an engine builder who worked for Swindon racing engines  and completed with a new high torque starter motor  and fuel injection  fitted. Cost  £4500

Gearbox - SD 1   5 speed box-  Also completely rebuilt. tested and then fitted with a new clutch   connecting to the back end by a  new prop shaft.

Body and chassis - body stripped.   Wings taken off and 2 new rear wings fitted.  Front wings then  fitted and all wings de seemed  (no poor quality finishing strips) see pics. The doors were properly fitted with equal gaps around the jams . All body work done by a professional body restorer . £4000 SPENT|| It was then painted with primer so you can paint it what colour you like. The chassis is solid with no rust as can  be seen in the pictures. The bonnet is RV8 type with plenum bulge and cooling vents.  

Brakes - 4 pot callipers from vitesse with vented discs ( very powerful ).   New master brake cylinder fitted.

Suspension- front -wishbone kit fitted with spax  adjustables.  A  heavy duty roll bar fitted  and all has been rebushed  and reconditioned steering rack fitted.

Exhaust- RV8 type manifold's going through the inner wings ( good under bonnet cooling) . connected to a bespoke twin system supplied by MG  owners club. £1000

All parts are there to finish I have no time as I am moving abroad . have spent thousands and thousands of pounds and just as many man hours but sadly I cant take it with me .

Finally car comes with a private plate VC69
