Welcome to my auction of this iconic and legendary AUDI UR quattro

 

I have bought this legendary Audi last year as project for restoration and wanted to fulfil my dream by creating something one of kind. but unfortunately due to loss of job and having nowhere to keep it for restoration I have to let it go.

 

I will try to tell you about it as much as I can. It has been ordered directly from German factory by someone living in Japan for delivery to him in 1983 and it has found its way back to Europe last year and first registered in UK 03. 06. 2013 - I have letter from Audi in Germany confirming that it is genuine Audi UR quattro produced by them in 1983. It is Left Hand Drive (I think it is huge advantage as it adds more value to it and it has more potential not only for market in UK. but also in Europe). It has covered just over 39'000 km which is about 24'300 miles so that means it has not been driven very much.  It has 2. 1 litre Turbo WR engine.  Engine oil is very clean and that shows that it has been serviced very regularly. In my opinion this Audi was only used in first years of its life and then has not been used maybe for another 20 years.  Engine starts up very nicely and it drives very well - clutch is not slipping and brakes including handbrake are good as well.  As you can see in pictures - bodywork is in great condition as it has been recently repainted. I have found only 2 places where new bits has been welded in to replace rusted bits in bodywork - one is in floor of boot and second is in rear right wheel arch (can bee seen in 9th picture). It has original 15" RONAL alloy wheels. Interior needs restoration - as you can see in pictures. I have most of the parts for interior.  Electric windows are working as well as electric mirrors. I have already bought some bits which will go with it - you can see in last picture (new soft viper blades. clip for radiator cover. new wire tape and new original blank Audi key).
