1966 Hillman imp de-luxe. unbelievably original condition. completely original and standard. one lady owner from new and only 15. 00 genuine mls. never had any paintwork and certainly never welded. a real timewarp. possibly the best most original one left ?

I also have the handbooks. old mot's dating back to the 70's and invoices for servicing etc over the years. it has been off the road for a number of years due to the advancing age of the elderly owner. it was only ever used for 6 summer months of the year from new and then only for short errands.

In recent years it has been dry stored in an integral garage under several blankets. I have had the engine running and it sounds great. the clutch slave cylinder and brake master cylinder need changing as the seals must have perished. the fuel tank will also need draining along with all other fluids.

The paintwork is totally original. never had any rectification work carried out. there are one or two small areas that ideally to make it absolutely mint would need to be done.

Many years ago a small ladder fell against the o/s wing leaving 2 or 3 small marks that have been touched up (see picture) also the elderly owner used to polish the car regularly even when it was not in use. the paint on the edge of the roof on the n/s has gone very thin (see pic) there are some stonechips to the very lower edge of the sills. these would not cost much to have done professionally but I will leave that to the new owner as some would prefer it original.

The interior again is totally original and in mint condition. carpets (even under the factory mats fitted from new). seats all rubbers and seals virtually as new. the rear seat looks as if it has never been sat on.

Under the bonnet the condition shows that the car has always lived in a heated garage and never seen a salted road. it is immaculate. has to be seen to be believed.

The chromework again is immaculate free of any damage. as near to new as you would get.

No scratches to the glass and all the window rubbers/seals in as new condition.

To sum up. this is a very easy project and would be ideal for concours preparation. impeccable history with 1 lady owner and just 15. 00 mls. it will be a long time before another one like this comes along.
