this 500 is one of the very early 500F's. manufactured using some parts from the 500D (e. g alloy door furniture) and made before full production was established in Turin. making it an extremely rare variant ( i am told that under a thousand were originally made). I have owned it since about 2008 and bought it with new floors and front wings replaced to a high standard. and with a 650 engine. I have converted it to right hand drive and have also renewed all the brakes and all the window and door seals. i fitted a new Weber carb with a proper fuel return pipe. i fitted a 1-2-3 electronic distributor/ignition (no more fiddling with points and total reliability). painted the engine tinware. lagged the exhaust pipes to keep the engine compartment cooler. I have re-webbed the front seats so they don't sag and are very comfortable. The car has no rust whatsoever. the body has no dents. the paint has a few imperfections. but is generally very good. The red is much more subtle than an ordinary red. It has new carpets. new sunroof. new wiper motor. lots of stainless steel fixings etc and is fully rustproofed. The chrome is excellant. hardly any pitting. It has the larger wider wheels from a later 500R. which handle the extra power from the 650 engine. but it will also come with a set of standard wheels/tyres.
