Up for sale is this 1966 Chevrolet El Camino that was factory equipped with a 327/275hp engine and 4 speed transmission. This El Camino was built in the Fremont. CA factory and sold new at Barton's Chevrolet of Yorba Linda. CA. This car has spent it's entire life in a dry California climate and is still registered to it's original California black plates. This El Camino is believed to have just over 59k original miles and is a numbers matching car: Engine. transmission. rear end. carb. etc. are all original the this car. This El Camino had sat in the garage of the original owner until 2012 when it was bought from the original owners estate. At the time of purchase it had sat unused for more than a few years and needed some freshening up before being put back into daily use. The original interior was dry. faded. cracked. and had split seams so it was time to get refreshed with a mostly new factory style interior which includes: headliner. sunvisors. seat upholstery. door seals. carpet. arm rests. dash pad. and a few other odds and ends. The engine and transmission also received some attention: new rear main seal. transmission input and output shaft seals. new clutch kit. engine and transmission mounts. full tune up. carb rebuild. fuel pump. V belt. fan shroud. and hoses. Brakes are also rebuilt with all new flex lines. master cylinder. wheel cylinders. and brake shoes. The engine runs smooth and has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smooth. Brakes work as they should. The paint is mostly original and is in respectable condition for it's age. Same goes for all the brightwork and trim. This El Camino is very dry in all of the usual rust areas: floors. hood. fenders. bed. quarters. etc. are all rust free. The only area with any rust is very minimal along the bottom edge of the rear window. and is very minimal compared to most. All glass in original and in good condition with the exception of a chip in the front windshield center. All electrical works as it should: Original T-3 headlights. tail lights. brake lights. glove box light. horn. dash lights. gauges. oil/generator/temp lights. wipers. wiper squirters. reverse lights. dome light. cigarette lighter. etc. all work as they should. The radio and the clock are the only things that don't currently work. One key works all locks and ignition. All original manuals are included: owners manual. accessories brochure. protect-o-plate. and some other items that came with the car when purchased new. Also included are a set of dog dish hupcaps and the original smog pump equipment. This El Camino is a daily driver and is very pleasant to drive and gets many compliments wherever it goes. I wouldn't hesitate to get in and drive this thing anywhere. Overall this is a very nice original 2 owner survivor and you would be hard pressed to find another in this condition anytime soon. Clear California title included with the sale along with current registration.

I am firm and fair on the price. Please don't call or message me with comps of other cars for sale or previously sold as there is nothing to compare it to. There has been nothing else that has sold with mostly original paint. numbers matching. and just under 60k original miles. If you appreciate an original car like one. then you understand the value and the investment as this can't be recreated. If you don't understand the value in an original car. then please move on with your search as this one is not for you and I wish you best of luck finding the one that is right for you.

Please email or call (at respectable Pacific time hours) if you have any questions. Jared (831) 247-9199

Do you have more pictures of the El Camino. I would like to see the underside of the El Camino and a close-up of the rear window and more closeups of the exterior and paint.
