SUPER RARE 1956 MORRIS OXFORD TRAVELLER ESTATE WOODY IN GREEN

i have decided after much debate to sell my very very rare series 2 oxford traveler according to the club there are 7 of these known to them worldwide the previous owner had it from 1960 to 2013. this car was sat in a garage since 1984 and i purchased the car from the deceased's estate the car had sat covered up and not touched in all those years. once i got the car home i fully renewed the entire braking system only the original steel brake pipes remain due to being in as new condition everything else is new also new clutch hydraulics and hose. the engine had a complete service i have fitted a new coil. plugs. plug leads and distributor cap and electronic ignition and a new facet electronic fuel pump for reliability as i planned on driving the old girl as much as possible. the gearbox. axle and all grease points also serviced. a new exhaust and a new set of radial tyres fitted. all the above is as i see improvements for driving and reliability. this car is the most genuine unmolested model that you will find its never been painted never been accident damaged has no filler has never been welded and does not need any at all. as you can see from the pictures the interior can only be described as superb from the original rubber flooring to the original roof lining. the wood work is excellent with no rot i was planning to have the wood work stripped and re varnished to preserve it in the excellent condition it's in. the bodywork is super straight as you'd imagine the paint being nearly 60 years old is good but by no means perfect all bright work is there and correct. the car runs and drives very well the column gear change works well but does take some getting use to. i have only done around 40/50 local miles and the more i use it the better it seems to drive. i urge any genuine interested people to view to appreciate just how lovely and genuine this car is it has perfect patina. and i guarantee you will never find another like this which is partly why im loathed to sell as i'd never replace it. some people may want to do a full cosmetic restoration it has potential to be a concourse winner. others may want to leave it as is it's only original once my preference is to leave as is. now i have no reason to believe it would'nt drive anywhere but as it's spent so many years resting i dont know if it's sensible to want to drive it home 300 miles i personally would trailer it but that's down to the the buyer. please bare in mind this is a genuine unrestored 58 year old it's not a fresh restoration or a brand new car what it is is lovely and i love it the main reason for selling is my wife has made it very clear that her or the children will not travel in it without seat belts being fitted and as silly as it may sound i cant bring myself to start drilling holes. i have a few other classic cars and they have seat belts. please note it is cash on collection only and car to be collected with in 5 days of sale date unless otherwise arranged. there's so much more i can say about the old girl so please call 07786514068 for a chat. i know im going to hear the 64000 dollar question how much do i want for it the truth is whats it worth hence the reason for this auction when did you last see one let alone for sale. despite what is auto generated by ebay please note there is no warranty no returns no pay pal etc etc. cash only. also please note the badge bar will be sold with the car but the badges will be removed. thank you
