1955 Dodge Power Wagon Base 3.8L

 1955 Dodge Power Wagon. Original 76000 mile truck completely overhauled with no expense saved and only 475 miles since completed.  This is a 3 owner truck with a full known history.   Original date coded 230 flathead engine. 6 volt sytem.  Engine runs perfect with no smoke or noises. Transmission and drivetrain are also original and unmolested and work perfectly. 4wd works great with brand new selectro hubs. Correct style exhaust done in stainless steel. original MU2 winch has been gone through and resealed with new cable and correct chain.   Brand new 10. 50x16 directional STA tires and tubes on original date coded bud wheels. Brand new brakes from front to back including all correct hoses and hardware. Interior completely redone with gorgeous upgraded seat upholstery and new everything including dynamat underneath correct headliner kit. All gauges redone and work perfectly. nbsp;original wiring harnesses with no modifications have been recovered. All correct knobs and controls including many many NOS pieces. Original untouched vaccuum wiper motors function perfectly with NOS wiper blades. The cab and bed was as a rust free as you could ever find and painted in a beautiful 2012 Chrysler gunmetal metallic to suit the industrial look of the truck.   The bed is done in Red Oak with a dark grey stain to compliment the body and assembled with all stainless hardware. it looks stunning.  All replacement parts are either from vintage power wagons or NOS.  

  I drive this truck regularily and built it to enjoy year round.  Therefore it is not a trailer queen. nbsp;but it is much nicer than it would have been original. And much nicer than some of the so called restorations I have seen around over the years. It has gotten a scratch here and there which could be easily be touched up or polished out. but it is a truck and thats what I built it for. It is super reliable and always starts no matter how cold and handles snow and icy roads wonderfully. nbsp;it stays quite warm with the dynamat in the cab.  In the summer it runs so cool the temperature gauge barely goes up even with a 180 stat. With the larger tires and recalibrated speedo she will reach almost 50 mph. Perfect for running around the city. Fuel enconomy is also surprisingly good.  

  Now I have set a reasonable reserve as this is not a modified Power Wagon. It is 95% original and unmolested as I have tried to stay as true to the truck and the driving experience as possible. It has a clear title and has recently passed a provincial safety inspection.
